In 1974 I bought a Kawasaki 900 Z-1, 82 hp, fastest street bike at the time. Cost $2,100.00/$2,300.00 out the door. It was the root beer/orange stripe like the one on display. Very fast and dependable. On a return trip from Daytona, Fl, I rode it 95 to 105 mph most of the way back to Ohio. Had to stop every hour for fuel. Sold it 10 years ago, $8,200.00, only had 22,000+ miles, stock except for custom paint and Lester aluminum wheels. (It was garaged for a few years while my family was young.) A nice 1973, 1st year production, would go for appx. $16,000 at that time. Kawasaki makes great motorcycles.
