On the LE Corolla the trunk does go all the way up, on the SE it doesn’t! Why? Because the weight of the little spoiler won’t allow it!

Thanks Scott I’ve never been the biggest fan either.. kinda looks like an afterthought but I don’t really mind it for the smaller economy cars since they don’t have as much dash space. Appreciate the comment!

I totally agree that they should incorporate it into the dash and lower it. It sticks up like a sore thumb and even to the point of blocking the view while driving. The older models like 2019 looked much better with it in center dash and blended in.

It’s actually a safety issue having the touchscreen under one’s normal peripheral vision. So manufacturers do this by statistics of how people get visually distracted, this design is now going to be standard in pretty much every vehicle…

I like it. Make mine a hatchback with 6 spd. Manual in optional windchill or standard white exterior with red interior/white with red (leather) seats. I Want blindspot warning system with best factory stereo system. I can do without the sunroof.🤩

I traded my payed off 2021 Corolla LE for a 2022 Corolla SE, this Corolla came from Japan! I’m a delivery driver my 2021 has 46,200 miles they gave me 21,000 for it, I gave them 4,000 cash , my new car is also payed off right from the start! I was shocked at how much they gave me but my car was all most in perfect condition, I put 4 seat covers on drivers seat 1 seat cover on passengers seat, I put all weather floor mats, all this literally saved my interior, that’s one of the reasons I got so much for it ,even know I put a lot of miles in one year!

Getting this same one but automatic $27k OTD, is that a fair price? They bumped it up like 2k due to “market adjustment”.. is that b.s? I told them I was gonna put $15k cash down and I think they didn’t like that since they can’t make more off me by financing..

Tell them you're not paying their market adjusted price, or you'll walk. Most won't lose a deal over that.

Absolutely ZERO market adjustment, mumbo-jumbo added cost to the deal. It'll be here next week. You just have to be willing to put in the effort, look around and be patient.

I just got my 2022 SE nightshade this week. Don’t have smart access on the door handles and don’t have push button start. Probably my biggest complaints as I thought every newer card mid level trim came standard with those things. Other then that, the sound system isn’t great at all, especially doing Bluetooth calls and lastly, the road noise is quite loud

I remember the old days when we had to insert the key....and then turn it manually. My god, it was the worst ever. I often had to call a wrecker service to help me get thru turning it because it was so difficult. But today, with the auto-start key fob, it makes it so much easier---other than having to not stick in the key and turn it, can't think of what it makes better though.

Justin Brenn... the American corolla is a bit watered down compared to the Canadian spec. Standard features for my 2020 LE Model has blind spot monitoring, heated Mirrors and seats as standard features but also comes with switchblade key. For convenience package the LE gets push button start, and sunroof with alloy wheels, thats about it.

I bought mine for 28k (2022 SE 6MT) in "Wnd Chill" white (Pearl White). But I had to go to 3 different dealers. Ended up in Barranquitas. Stand firm on your price and they'll budge. Good luck!!!

@@braetonwilson4296 Yes, salesman even included the mudgaurds, tank of fuel, the interest that I wanted and instead of a 3 year/ 36,000 mile full bumper 2 bumper warranty, I haggled for a 5 year/ 60,000 bumper 2 bumper warranty and $379 monthly payment with no money down. There is a critical detail: my credit score was about 760-780 range (depending on wich of the 3 you inquired). A big tip is to also go pre-approved from your bank, then they take you seriously. Happy hunting👍.

Totally disagree. A 2022 Corolla with the L trim is $20K. I've owned 4 Corolla's over the years and they are an excellent car for the money, in all trims!

toyota for life why 1.no turbos 2.better fuel economy 3.better resell vaule 4.more reliable i had a tucson at 70 k my car was burning oil and i had to replace transmisson as well stop looking at tech and having more warrentie just because hyundai has more to offer doesnt mean its better than toyota will always be king of reliability simple

It’s supposed to be android auto compatible man it’s possible that you just have an electronic issue. Otherwise I have no clue because Toyota advertises this infotainment as android auto compatible and there are a bunch of videos on here with people using it. Wish you luck hope you get it figured out!

You're wrong, Android Auto works just fine on my 2021 SE. Go to your projection settings though and make sure it's allowed to run. Mine was disabled by default

Kia is nice to look at but those 10 years warranties mean nothing when you run into problems. Kia and Hyundai use those as selling tip but once you sign the papers that might be the beginning of hell, speaking from experience. Don't get me wrong though, kia and hyundai when it comes to tech they next level but on the mechanical side of things you need to think twice.

My 16 Hyundai Elantra (90k miles) has engine failure due to manufacturer defect. When I dropped it off at the dealer the Hyundai service tech said there are 45 Hyundais on the lot which also are awaiting new engines. I have no idea at this point if Hyundai will fix my car despite several settled class-action lawsuits; the service tech also stated there is no consistency to whether will cover the repair. I just reserved a ‘22 Corolla because, at best, I will have the Hyundai repaired when engines are available: 4-6 months. I’m feeling as though I’m most likely screwed, though. I have no faith in Hyundai or sister company Kia.

Well this isn’t exactly a base model.. it’s $22k but you can also get the LE for around $21k and the L for around $20k. This SE trim is almost a base model but it still gives you some really useful features.

There is a dealership mark up which at my local dealership lists these cars at $28,300 + (Corolla SE HATCHBACK which would be less than sedan bodystyle) which have already sold. No inventory now so you must be put on list to be called whenever these cars come in. This makes mark up over $5,000+. As far as 160 MPH speedometer (WASTE) on this sedan Corolla, 😅🤣😂 the top end speed on A Corolla is 105 MPH🤢🤮. It's an economy car. But not at a economy car price.🤑🤑🤢🤮🤮

You need to drive one. My 2022 SE is far from the old “bean can” economy cars. It rides and handles great, and has a whole lot of features you won’t find on your image of an economy car.

I am in California. If I can't get a Corolla SE 6spd. manual hatchback in windshade white/pearl I will just go ORDER a Dodge Challenger R/T SCAT PACK 392 WIDEEBODY.

The price depends on the dealerships. It’s 23k on paper and it may be 23k in certain areas but if you live in a place where a Corolla SE is 28k then you’re just unlucky that you have a crappy dealership in your area.

It’s not false information, that’s probably just what the price is near you. I just paid right under $25k w taxes and fees included, and the car will be at the dealership in a few days. Not sure why you’d think that just because they’re priced $28k near you that they’re priced $28k everywhere… 😅
