To be fair, in the sub-800cc class, the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is the only bike I know of that has cruise control. To me, that makes it a fringe feature, and not an integral component, and pretty hard to criticize it's absence. Don't get me wrong, I'd like cruise control, and think it would be an excellent thing to find on the accessory list. But I really don't expect it on a modest sized bike.

Oh yeah. I agree 👍 If your saw my scoreboard, i don't even score that feature. It's just nice to mention though 😎

Awesome video. Icing on the cake if you review the Multistrada 950s/V2 next for me. I am on a similar point as you are. Based on my budget, for me the options are a sparingly used Multistrada 950s or a BMW F900xr pro OR a brand new Triumph Tiger 660 Sport or the yet to be launched Versys 650. I am looking at the biggies as they come with cruise control and better suspension customisations.
@John_Neves2 жыл бұрын
Great! Thanks for your comment. 👍 The multistrada is on my list, but i have some reservations regarding it's theft appeal... But I'm going to be reviewing it also. Next up on the channel, is the Tiger 850 that honestly blew me away during my test ride. Try one out before commiting to the 660 👍. That's if you're not in love with the 660 's sexy looks of course 😄
@virajvrooms2 жыл бұрын
@@John_Neves Theft appeal 🤭. Very true. Unfortunately they don't sell the KTM 790/890 here. That bike had everything, plus it would easily get mixed in the crowd. I am not going to commit without riding the new Versys though, the most reliable of all. Looking forward to the tiger 850 video

Is there any of this sport touring bikes with a good score in buffeting? Windscreens are supposed to make long trips more comfortable, but in reality is too annoying.
@ricardini95602 жыл бұрын
Bike was not based on the Trident, it was developed in parallel with the trident. 2 for suspension? 3 for the engine? Being the only three cylinder and the most powerful bike of it's category? What would you give a Versys engine? 1? Everyone else says it's very comfortable... What would you give the Trident suspension? Zero? It's obviously your opinion but I disagree with most of it. This is a adventure sport tourer not an adventure off road bike.
@John_Neves2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. Thanks for your comment. 👍 As stated in the begining of my video, this score is for my personal orientation. 1 means bad , 2 okay, 3 good, 4 excelent, 5 means overwhelmingly. So.... suspension is okay. What would you call it? Good, excelente? I don't think so. Engine is good. Would you call it excelent? Sorry, it's a fantastic unit and yes, best in it's class, but it's not excelent. I think GOOD is a fair score for this engine. These scores will start to make sense when i have more bikes on this series. 👍 And how do i rate the rear suspension of my Trident? Not zero, because it goes up and down. But its bad. It would get a 1 on my chart. Don't forget, 1 is bad, 2 is okay, 3 is good, 4 is excelent, 5 is overwhelming. 👍 Did you even see the whole video? I speak joys of this bike! It's amazing man👌👌 How would you score these features, based on my board?

What if to compare tracer 700 vs triumph sport 660
@csposir2 жыл бұрын
I’d have one as a 1050cc over any of Triumph’s Tiger series with their adventure biased look. Center stand and cruise control, heated grips and side cases not robbed of capacity by silencer can. The original 1050cc 17” wheel Tiger always came up short when I considered purchasing one, the side case capacity compromise due to the exhaust placement was the tipping point that moved me to another bike. I’ll be back in the showroom if Triumph builds this machine with liter class displacement.

@John_Neves2 жыл бұрын

I'd rather have the Trident than the Tiger. And I'd rather have a V-Strom 1000 than some of the alternatives you put up on screen. The new V-Strom 1050 XT might be an option. I have dropped my interest in the Trident in favour of a new Yamaha MT-09. This will be for Thailand. In Portugal, I'm going to sell my Yamaha MT-01 and Buell XB12X Ulysses and buy a new Husqvarna 701 Supermoto. I am looking forward to getting back to Portugal late spring/early summer. Hi John, video gives a good impression of yr. thoughts about the tiger. as you coment, the trident is not bad, but the tiger propably meets better yr. individual needs for longer trips/offroad a.s.o. than the trident. whatever yr. new bike(s) will be, i'm sure you take the right decison.
