2022 update, How I almost died, and what's next

It has been a while since I posted anything up, so here is an explanation why, what I've been up to, and what the future has in store for this channel.

DoogieLabs is a part of Research Reality- A group where hobbyists, artists, and thinkers collaborate to empower and foster intellectual creativity.
Research Reality is a group where people exchange information and ideas surrounding a specific project they are working on. Designed to cater to those who learn on their own through experience, this group attempts to document those learning experiences to share valuable information to those who are wanting to educate themselves on a given subject, which generally surrounds STEM and how it relates to the Computer, Electronics, and Automotive industries. Though, it is not limited to that at all! Research Reality encompasses sharing whatever knowledge will enable someone to achieve a given goal that will help them navigate through life. This could also be things like baking cookies, or even help deciphering legalese.
Please challenge yourself and strive to learn something new everyday! Don't forget to share with us what made your reality!

Hey bro, good to see you getting back into KZbin, I would love to see all the car wiring stuff, I just bought my own car for the first time (my very first car was my grandfathers) and it was an interesting and empowering experience. I am certainly interested in how to properly modify or add to the car's wiring harness, like what kind of splice connectors, where to route it, how a sensor works or what it needs to work etc. I am definitely going to change the bulbs over to LED and possibly put a small subwoofer tied into the stock radio. I also do alot of electronics repair and am certainly jealous of your setup! I currently work in I.T. which certainly pays the bills (more like pays off the new to me car :D) but it isnt quite as fun as the physical side of electronics. Though I do have the privelage of finding a need for my talents and my boss supports it where he can. Thanks for being a cool dude, Cheers!

Love your content man! I came from TikTok. I wish I had known of you sooner. I am a heavy-duty diesel mechanic and love doing more electrical work. Doing electrical work has now got me into programming. I don't know how you are not on Autonerdz? You showed that CANbus hacking the power steering system, and you grabbed my attention, got me severely more into electronics. I built a tabletop CANbus with Arduino's and started playing around with the physical layer. Trying to break it and capture the waveforms with my oscilloscope. Hope all is well

Corrado stuff has been what I've been most excited to share. It has taken so long to accumulate what I need because life gets in the way and stuff is hard to find, and it's only getting more difficult and expensive. Come on… I’ve learned so much from your channel, and there are things that I still want to try on my own, especially your tech, retro computing stuff. The chrome G5, the old Unix stuff, the radio monitoring craziness. All awesome stuff really. And that hovercraft! 😆😆 And even, I’m not that interested in cars, but your stuff is always interesting to watch. I’m glad you recovered from your accident and I look forward to your future content. KZbin is indeed tough. I don’t like to show up, but I post some deep dives and it doesn’t attract much of an audience. The few folks I’ve engaged with are super cool, and I do it more for myself, so it’s fine. Never tried TikTok though. All the best!!

I so much want to try the chrome G5 😂😂 A few years back, I tried to hack a raspberry pi into a Brazilian market-only VW car from 2000, but we had the ONLY one version of the ECM that was known not to work due to some bizarre initialisation routine. 😂😂😂 Of course, that realisation came after two weeks breaking my head. You have this great advantage in America that, if you are good at something, you can find likeminded people, and some budget, even old equipment and parts. In Brazil, it’s nearly impossible. I’ve moved to Europe 10 or so years ago, and now it’s better budget-wise, but space comes at an awful premium and, yes, the corporate IT world eats your soul. Your new shop looks so awesome and I’m glad everything is getting sorted for you.

How about a Lotus Europa or a Detomaso Mangusta or a Pantera, or an early 80's Ferrari Dino 308 GTU Boxer which all have way more potential are relatively easily attainable and hold their values far better and are rarer and 10,000 times cooler!??
