Being happy about paying a huge bill with your credit card so you can get the sign up bonus is a weird feeling, but I had the same experience when I got the Citi Premier. It's not really a good thing in the big picture but just shows how behavioral modification works when they come up with these rewards!

Capital One said that I have too many cards, which is b/st. But I kinda glad that I don't have to rush to spend $10k. Totally agree with what you said about amex platinum, this year I got retention offer, so will keep card, next year will see.

Good video. Sound reasoning. Funny story. The gold card is definitely a workhorse keeper card since I use the credits for some of the purchases eating out that I do (rarely) anyway and when I drop my vanilla Platinum (unless retention offer I can’t refuse) I will only pay the taxes on the Morgan Stanley Platinum fee for parking my emergency fund with them. I’m very happy with that setup.

Great setup Adam! Im going after the CFU & Citi CC in may or June. Then pair those with my CSP & citi premier. And use discover as needed. Totally agree with your brutal assessment of the amex platinum. 😆

For the Verizon Visa, you can actually use the Verizon dollars to redeem for gift cards and travel as well now. So, you don’t have to use them just towards your bill

United explorer isn’t subjected to 5/24 per my personal experience. As I’m sure you published the chase relaxing 5/25 video and have read the data point. If you fly to Chicago once in a while, you could totally get the card without gardening under 5/24.

I'm in such a weird spot. I have two capital one cards and keep getting denied for anything else. I have paid off my bill every month, one month I didn't pay the bill all the way off all the way, though and my utilization went up and dropped my score. I still made a payment though. I was also going a few things with the bank where I had to move money and became overdrawn a few times. I can't even get a Petal card. It's so bad I'm like what the heck.. ugh and it's funny I'm pre approved for the Amazon CC the black one and I don't even want to risk it. I'm just like lost

so Grocerys , 5% on your choosing, = Restaurants , Target , hotels , gas , so which credit card are you using on none bonus spend? say if your getting your car oiled and lubed? if your going to Walmart, if your getting a haircut what card do you use? for Gas I use my Exxon and Citgo charge card Grocerys cash hair cut cash Target my American express basic blue cash card, Capital one Venture sit down restaurants either a gift card or my Chase Sapphire Fast food restaurants cash gas less than 20.00 say 8 to 15.00 cash

Credit Karma lists my chances of getting the Venture X as fair, yet lists my chances of the Amex gold as excellent and platinum as very good. Weird.

Do not believe a word Credit Karma says, they're just trying to make you apply to credit cards that they're being paid to advertise. Their service is only good to check your credit score occasionally or to find increased SUB offers

- AOD has restricted membership, thus not open to everyone. Nusenda doesnt sound bad, but i saw some comments in the past from others who had reservations about applying for it, but cant remember why.
