NL 2-7 draw has to be the scariest game to me. PLO and 6+ got nothing on the insanity 2-7. The hand where cates calls the 3bet, draws 1, and bets big is so incomprehensible to me. Idk how you would determine what combos are hero’s and bluffs

A lot of average people get deep in a big tournament and they end up getting over their heads a bit, and now they're more prone to having their poker play be televised than ever before. I think, with that said, people have generally handled themselves well in that type of situation and it's natural to want to conceal your tells on live television at all costs. Not many people who are suited to play high-level poker are also highly sociable and camera-friendly.

Via seeing him in the $50k 6-max the year before, at least, or hearing about his play "in the grapevine" or documentation of his play in other tourneys... The longer someone is around "on the scene" in whatever way, the more of a read people get. Look at Negreanu this year. Doing terrible, yet Shaun Deeb, Scott Seiver, Dan Cates, Dan Zack... nothing has changed. Cates and Deeb do some visual things to throw people off, not sure about the other two I mentioned there. No I'm not a pro or anything.
