@rishabhchoudhary44177 ай бұрын
sizing was indeed wrong, when you raise there against a top heavy range, you want to raise to a size which makes AK uncomfortable, that raise size makes AK an easy fold, where as if you raise small lets say 45k-55k(given the stack depth) you will apply more pressure to his range, that raise of 80k is not a raise its an effective all in. Now from jungles prospective(for his hand), Villains range is AA,KK,1010 (hoping he wont raise atleast QQ lol) and AK of heart and one combo of AQ spade( which he wont have with 100% frequency as it will fold preflop sometimes against a 5 bet), against this range. his exact hand AQ is fked up, imagine 60-40% equity distribution against his bluff and 80-20 against value, he can fold AQ there. Not saying its always a fold, depends on the opponent a lot.

They play deep, I don't know these players but Jungle is the guy who knows what he's doing. I thought the preflop 5-bet was pretty bold and actually makes sense. Blocks AA/QQ and knows it's improbable for both players to have a monster, so he thinks he can redline his way to a profit, especially if he knows Dan will never slowplay AA/KK facing a 4-bet here. Jungle also knows how bad it would be to flat out of position, so it's basically fold or bluff here after Dan overcalls.
@Mauricio-kf8qx8 ай бұрын
Eh. He’s at the bottom of his value range when he gets to the flop as a 5 bettor. Dan has very few bluffs in the spot and jungle man is in a spot where he HAS to shove into an extremely nutted range. Dan isn’t gonna have any 6 bets in position and his continue range is very strong, aces kings queens even tens sometimes and ak suited.

@frankforster7068 ай бұрын
@@jwclau1 KJs isn't a 4-bet for a straightforward player. While his exact hand is, the ace in Jungleman's hand makes AK of hearts less likely just as it makes AA and QQ less likely. Factor in the 3-bet and the fold by Harsheel, what did he most likely fold that is worthy of a 3-bet? In my opinion that's Ax, 10 10 or JJ, the majority of those combos contain an ace, further decreasing the likelihood of those hands while the most likely reasonable blocker to KK that 3-bets and folds is KQs, a hand in turn unlikely due to Jungleman's queen as well as the queen on the board. But of course, that's ignoring Jungleman's image a bit. There's a chance Harsheel 3-bet here with any somewhat decent hand. Nonetheless, even ignoring Harsheel's action (which we shouldn't), KK is the one hand to be most afraid of here whereas QQ really isn't.

If you put yourself in either person's shoes (assuming you don't know the other's hole cards), seems like both players played this hand very well. Jungle's facing a raise that most of the time puts the other players range prob something like 1010, AK❤ and KK. I don't include AQ, AA, QQ because of jungle's blockers and likelihood that preflop Harsheed prob folded something like JJ, AK, AQ and even QQ. I think if Harsheed had 10's he would have folded faster. So against a tight straightforward player like Dan it's a good fold if you take it all into consideration for Jungleman. And Dan knowing that Jungle is prob thinking the range I just mentioned, it's a perfect raise (though all in would have been better) and even if he gets called, he's got a very good draw. In fact, I strongly think it's a mandatory raise by Dan in this situation. A mini-click would have been worse.

Jungleman’s mistakes. First Issue : five betting AQ off suit. Almost never do that against solid opponents. Second issue: doing it out of position. This compounds the problems of the first error, and his opponent finds a way to exploit it. His opponent sees a small bet on a wet board for a 5 bet pot and realizes how polarizing the hands will be and how vulnerable a one pair hand would be. He bets in way that puts the rest of Jungleman’s stack at risk, and then the range of hands Jungleman faces are mostly beating him. He needlessly put himself in this spot with those 2 errors. Only then does he fully confront the problem of error 1 and 2. Jungleman’s fold at that point I might be the most rational thing he did in the whole,hand even though it was the wrong outcome. I hope that makes sense.
