I recently installed a Mishimoto single catch can on the PCV valve side of my '22 WRX. From what I read having a can on the CCV side is pretty much overkill on a stock or lightly modified car but maybe you plan to get radical with your car latter- IDK. It was a bigger job than I anticipated. Very tight space to work in and anything that can get in the way does. I'm glad I didn't have to do the CCV part of the job. That looks a lot more involved than I'd want to get into. I'll be watching to see how much vapor oil you collect in one can versus the other - I hope you do a follow up video to show us this.

Just an update for anyone getting these. I bought the dual catch cans. I have a Perrin CAI with the heatshield. I had to cut out a little section of the heatshield for the PCV catch can for it to fit. I also have a Perrin charge pipe, and the CCV catch can is a little tricky to get the fitment. Make sure you watch the length of the hose, cause the angle at which it runs over the charge pipe will pull against the charge pipe making it touch part of the block if youre not careful. Other than that, it does fit fine. Also make sure you pay attention to the fact that he was leaving the fan out for the video, but you have to install the fan before the catch can.

I could not, for the very life of me, get that PCV hose off of the engine. Neither end would budge, not that I could get to the lower clip anyway. However, I wonder... since all you're really doing is a bypass on that short hose, and the hose is (mostly) on top of the engine, it seems like it might be possible to just cut the hose in half right there on the engine. All you'd have to do is connect the Radium hoses with their clips and you'd be off to the races without having to worry about trying to figure out how to get that hose out. Wouldn't that work?

@Kopernicus674 ай бұрын
Because they need to be emptied, and that interval is not the same for all drivers. Yes, some WRX owners don't want to mess with maintenance (not me). Also, in cold climates you do risk condensation and ice in there that can mess up the PCV system if it is not maintained.
