NOTE: Lighting was primarily purple and green which, for some reason, has been a constant within the past month at the Ottobar. That washed out look you're seeing is my phone recording that stage lighting.
Also, there's a slight shake to my video--I had a remedy I tested to eliminate it that was successful in a previous video but I forgot to pack it with me! I wasn't going to NOT shoot GBV so I decided whatever footage I got, I'm cleaning up and uploading. Apologies if this doesn't meet your satisfaction...

So there’s a story about that. Mark Shue’s family sat on the bench where I normally shoot from so I was pushed farther out. When I mounted my camera, I tried to get the whole stage but there was a beam protruding out that blocked my view of Bobby Bare Jr. Trust me, I was kicking myself for not getting him in frame but from where I shot, that part of the stage was blocked…sorry!

It actually bugged me that they copied the studio version of 'My Impression Now'. I always thought it was inappropriately chaotic and thoroughly welcomed the more finessed live versions. I have plenty of good things to say also. GBV are my favourite band.
