I must say your videos have become my comfort watch and a weekly source of inspiration, especially because of your creativity and drive for learning whether it’s knitting, journaling, pens or music. I especially appreciate your sense of style and your hair too of course! As an aside, I was telling my partner I suspected you worked as an art teacher/teacher and I was delightfully surprised you were. the colorway of those mustard-cuffed socks is gorgeous! Nice choice. There are some excellent double-pointed needle rolls on the market. I have one from Della Q that I love. Also the large circular needle case from Della Q is tremendous as well.

I hope you feel better soon - it's no fun being sick, especially over a holiday. I'm with you on the Karbonz needles. I have a set of DPNs from them and I really dislike using them. I'm used to ChiaoGoo steel needles, so I don't like the "drag" of the carbon fiber part. I think I'll give the steel Chiaogoo DPNs a try. :) Happy holiday season to you!

That shawl indeed looks like a part of you! I think all teachers get exhausted by the holidays. I now teach at a childcare for a private university, and have been sick/losing my voice all week. It’s hard to not have a voice when you have a class of adorably needy two-year olds! My job has better work-life balance than K-12 teaching did, but it’s physically taxing, plus I’m taking college classes again. It’s so nice you get two weeks off! Rest up and enjoy. Oh, I also have a Pendleton coat, 80% wool-a Christmas present from my husband this year. He doesn’t get why I’m so exhausted during the holidays, but he does get me what I ask for😆
