I'm on my 2nd Subaru Outback, this time a 2021 Touring XT. It rides and handles well (now that it's got good tires on it), it's punchy enough, and overall it's a good car. However, it's kinda loud, and really not quite as sporty as I'd like, and now that I'm making a lot more money, I'm heavily considering finally getting an Audi, and your video has me tempted to switch allegiances. If they make lift kits for these Allroads, I may very well have one as my next daily driver.

I worked for Audi for almost 5 years and the Allroad, specifically the A4 Allroad has to be one of my favorite models. Wagons are awesome to start, but the A4 Allroad is next level.

This is the next new vehicle I plan on purchasing. I want something premium with great off-road performance so I'll probably be going with this. Especially after Subaru discontinued the STI lineup.

What's the advantage or disadvantage compared to the Q5? All the features and specs seem to be exactly the same except the name and a bit of design.

It is a similar choice and the features will pretty much mirror a Q5 too. It differentiates in the way it drives. A4 Allroad still drives like a car, a very comfortable car. I can compare the ride quality to that of an A8, its that good.

If it matters to you, Q5s are built in Mexico, A4s are built in Germany.

I had one of these, they are good wagons, BUT the seats are not as comfortable as Volvo’s, which is why I changed it for a Volvo V60 ❤

Nice review, would have liked to seen the cargo area with rear seats folded down. Do the rear seats fold flat or are they at like 30 degrees like the A6 Allroad?

When he shows the rear seats at around 8 minutes, you can see they fold down at an angle, not perfectly flat.

Very enjoyable and informative review! I'm someone who prioritizes comfort / quietness, so the A4 Allroad is calling to me. I'm curious to hear though if you have any experience with the current generation of Lexus ES and have any insight on how it compares in terms of comfort / quietness from your perspective. I often hear that the ES is the car to beat in that regard.

Would nicely replace my bmw 328d wagon…except no diesel. Would like the larger a6, but the price!!!! Seats here are like my bmw and better-looking than the base a6 seats.

Ty, Placebo’s living with you my friend…. The engine, chassis, adaptive suspension, they’re all available on the regular A4 as well, but as options…. The doors are identical, in case you were wondering…. The only difference is the ride hight increase and the offroad mode, apart from the side and fron/rear bumpers. That’s it….. eh, now don’t get me wrong, great review and I’m glad you like the car, but please don’t try to distance it too much from the A4

We purchased a 2023 model 3 months ago. What a disappointment! The infotainment system is counterintuitive and we still can’t get it to open our garage doors consistently. The auto stop-start system is very harsh, the seats are uncomfortable....I could go on and on! This is my 7th Audi but can’t wait to get rid of it.

I love this car. But those high gloss wood inlays - ehhhh. Personal taste but I couldn’t live with that. Better than carbon fiber though.

Check out the black out option. Grey wood replaces the shiny pieces on the dash board and doors . Much nicer to look at.

@@flyingdin1164 It is a really nice option. I think the option is called Optic Black. The Audi rings and badges are blacked out, basically all the chrome is black, the headliner is black, the wheels have black accents. It looks really good. This still a few little shiny black bits on the center console but not much. The big shiny pieces on the dash and doors are grey weathered looking wood. It sold me! Worth checking out. Good luck!
