Hey Rob, just raced you in NeedFourSpeed. I was kart 14 in the last race, certainly felt your presence behind but thanks for being patient and clean, didn't want to hold you up too much aha. First time doing that event (only been karting for a couple of months now) and never been on track with so many fast drivers, was intense but fun. The karts felt so inconsistent as well, race 1 I had kart 4 which I know you had in race 2; was so difficult to drive. Race 3 felt the best and race 4 my brakes felt non existent on the first lap or so. Congrats on your progress and hope to race again soon

I loved last night! Despite the poor performance (I'll continue to blame the karts and back half of the grid start for every race...)! I enjoyed our little battle too! The racing was so clean, best it's been for a while. I was a little concerned my pass didn't count as we didn't complete the final lap under greens, but it seemed to go through in the app! 👍 I'm not sure when my battery died in the final race though 😭

Excellent racing! Always keen to see such clean racing styles like yours. I was wondering if you've ever tried to compromise your next lap by diving into the time detection point instead of slowing down for turn one. A lot of people do this at my local track in Liverpool since the detection area is so close to the turn one hairpin, so going for a clean turn one means you have to slow right down. This results in a fast, slow, fast pattern in laps. Hope you continue to set great laps!

I have considered this but I think the brake point at Sheffield is slightly after the start/finish line

Thank you, I work hard to make sure I'm patient and only go for moves that I'm fairly confident will work! As Ian said, I'm not sure there is anything to gain by keeping left for the timing line. It's quite far from the braking point for T1.

I qualified 4th in the end for the previous stage. These local finals had their own qualifying for the race though 👍

hi, i race at coventry my main tip is to just be defensive and take a lot corners wide, it will be tough but quali is the most important thing cuz it’s like racing at monaco u can’t overtake tbh so just push in quali and u will do really well. good luck
