Can we all (not specifically calling you out Paul) stop calling the lower part of most vehicles rear bumpers "diffusers"? Most of these are just plain decorative panels to visually break up the huge back ends most cars have these days. There may be more cars that I'm not aware of, but the last reasonably priced vehicle that had a genuine diffuser was probably the Renault Clio RS200, and it's diffuser extended under the rear of car basically from just behind the rear axle to the rear bumper & for the full width between the rear wheels. Now that's a diffuser!

What build quality issues? It's better than it has ever been. The only "downside" BMW has these days is their design and some people like what they are doing.

@@omnihein9322 Their interior reliability (not quality) has increased (compared to the 20’s sagging headliners, failing instrument lights and buttons, door locks etc)… however their use of fake leather interiors, sub-standard engine bay plastics and engineering, poor quality fit & finish… not a good combo at the price they are asking. I’m not targeting BMW. All the Germans have lost the quality they used to possess. BMW has always been behind in quality… problem is the the other two (who have the quality/reliability edge) are building better, cheaper cars.

I love a lot of BMW designs (hate the 2 series GC) but I don't like this. Seems a bit overbuilt. I can't afford it either so there's that. I think a glass panoramic roof would be a better option compared to that. It'll get boring pretty quick, and you'll be stuck with it. And the boot space. Might as well get an X7M

I wish more people would talk about the interior smell. BMWs have by far the best new car interior smell of any carmaker. It smells expensive and high end. Also, BMW's build and material quality these days is just impeccable. Far far above the plasticky nonsense Mercedes is pumping out.

@@lukeclifton4392 BMW and Mercedes also create their smells and in my opinion, I think BMW's is best. I'm specifically talking about INTERIOR build and material quality. Didn't mention any under the hood stuff. BMWs feel rock solid inside. The panels don't flex and creak like those in a Mercedes and they don't use cheap plastics in their cars like Audi and Mercedes does these days. For engine reliability though, I'll only trust Mercedes. Never Audi.
