Justin, when you get with AWE, please ask them to make a "Center Exhaust" for the E-Ray!!! That would be awesome to have the E-Ray looking like the Z06. The major differences would be the badging and sound.

I have a new 2024 Z06 I hear the ticking. The dealer's response is that it is within tolerance but they have not provided the results of the test with a pico scope.

I have this issue myself. I recorded it and sent it to my dealer I bought it from on the east coast brand new and they suggested I bring this to my local dealer on the west coast. With this video now I can see that others have it too. Makes me feel better but not really because I hope my 2023 ZO6 doesn’t have a big issue. What a pain in the ass though.

I think the dealership service thing really holds the Corvette back. You are gonna pay a ton for service from a Ferrari or Lambo dealership but presumably they'll know what they are doing. And I would have no way of knowing this one way or another, but it seems like Chevy doesn't offer much of an incentive or opportunity for their mechanics to become specialized in Corvette service. If so you'd think there would be alot more of them. Maybe they're just a real headache to work on for anything above an oil change? Years ago I went on Chevy chat out of curiosity and asked about dealers in the area that have Corvette mechanics. The answer was something like "All GM technicians are trained in servicing all GM vehicles" or something. What a terrible answer and a blatant lie. Even dealers will generally be honest about this when you ask them.

Can you recommend a good tech with chevy that I can talk to? My Z06 has the dreaded tick and I have an engine code that it is throwing as well. I really don't want to be the guy posting it everywhere as I think it's a decent car but I would like to talk to someone that knows what is going on. Our local dealers are pretty small and I need to figure out where I can take it that may know a bit more about the LT6. Thanks

My 2023 C8 is Ticking..it's been in the Dealership since April 26th..I thought it was a Lifter..but there looking at the Fuel injectors..right now per GM instructions...

As for Speed Phenom. He already had a Chev rewards account. Apparently, Austin didn't click and add the Z06 to his existing account, WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME LIMIT WINDOW. That appears to be the issue. I think there's a 90ish day time limit on adding or creating the Z06 account. It doesn't specify any time limit on the contract but is somewhere on the Chevrolet site. Like you, I believe He'll get the points. Too much publicity. I'm a 2019 GS owner and ended up buying new wheels because of The handling of the cracked wheel issue, so I'm not super happy with Chev customer service either. Just a little disclaimer. 😁

Guys..just maybe and this is a theory...could putting 93 octane maybe not from Quality gas stations cause these engines to tick..Mt brother-in-law were talking about it..I'm hearing Shell or ExxonMobil are the better gas stations..I've been going to Speedway..have u guys heard anything??
