Thanks for the video. Decided to pull the trigger on two of the XT 700's and two DS250's for the kids. Hopefully the redesign proves to be reliable. Picked these over Polaris for the new features/design plus the winch and bumper already included in the price. Seemed like a better value, plus we like the look more than the Polaris. Pick them up on Aug 2nd.

Hopefully they addressed some on the problems of the older models. Did they improve the brakes, cvt issues like the clunk, diff failures, drive shaft connections ? Is it available in another color other than yellow? It is an interesting atv and it’s features are appealing. The engine position in the frame looks like it would be much easier to service, valve adjustments and spark plug changes.

Well, with loosing the v twin and the trailing arm suspension, I’d rather go with a Yamaha Grizzly that has the superior CVT system I’ll never have to worry about. Plus the Yamaha has arched a arms opposed to the straight of the outlander, and a big plus with the Yamaha, and other brands, is front diff lock on all models with out having to get a specific model. I’m not saying the new outlanders are going to be bad machines but I think they are taking a step backwards in not only design but technology.

My question is how this models exhaust system handle the heat? I guess BRP/Can am should do a better job than Chinas Segway Snarler 570 that came out in 2021 whit the engine flipped around, their exhaust melts and snaps in half due to heat, bad design and a cheap metal combo.( Yeah I know China, but so is CF Moto that some love so much. ) A all new design also means new problems, always, lets see if they live up to their words of less maintenance. Personally I would not even think about buying one until tested against a Grizzly/Kodiak 700 and also how "long-term" ownership looks like, in my opinion its a bold move by Can am to throw away the lower cc V-twin and smaller 450 a lot of people have come to like over the years, will be interesting to see non the less.

It would be about dead even a driver's race, the 570 will feel faster tho, but the equally sized 650 V-Twin will smoke this 700. They really shouldn't have dropped that engine, it's an overachiever and one of the best all around engines. A budget V-Twin model with that engine woulda been a big hit with V-Twin only crowd. Once u go V-Twin u never wanna go back if your a horsepower guy!

So far the 2023 Can Am Outlander 850 still has my vote from Can Am. I know they aren't the same kind of machine, or in the same class. I just like the 850 compared to this one, at the moment. Definitely some improvements across the board but I'd still spend the extra money to get a Grizzly. They also should have taken the opportunity to change the shifter position to the left side so you don't hit the throttle with your forearm anymore which will most likely happen even more now with the seat height increase. It'll be very interesting how much of the market they take away. I've watched several videos now on this new Outlander and not one video has mentioned it going up against the Grizzly. 🤔

That is heavy, but it doesn't seem underpowered. I mean Steve could not be described as svelte, lythe or small-boned exactly, and it seemed to deal quite handily with his weight on board. However, if this thing goes over on you, or you have to try to get it right side up, that's a lot of machine to move. As lso, is it too heavy for your typical utility trailer with a 3/4 in plywood floor? How much does a Rancher 420 weigh? 600 lbs?

@@Dusdaddy for us (at least where I ride) in south Florida it seems as the ones riding atvs are usually the younger crowds I have seen a few guys my age riding atvs still but most my age are riding sxs. But they all seem to admit some how that my bike which they almost always ask to ride,is a lot more fun…

@@edwardcote1331 Shitty deal about the Honda. Good luck on the 500! Although I never get hung up on brands, I just want something that runs well and has some features that are innovative.

I had to weight in. I think it really depends on where you ride. I'm 65 and still ride ATV's - they just are better for picking through the bush and swamp. Howard
