I had two SxS's and an ATV in the garage and they sat for almost 2.5yrs. Decided to sell them because of lack of use. I had a 200s honda in my early teens and right now, I'm looking for the holy grail, a 250ES. They are certainly hard to come by. Do they lack power? Compared to a modern EFI quad, obviously, but they will move you around with no issues! Are they as capable? Depends what they are used for and where they are used. As you said, these are light weight, so if you get it stuck, she can usually get tugged out pretty easily. Get a 800lbs quad stuck... you better hope your winch is working haha. Lastly, the foot print. If you want to take an actual offroad trail, which is not maintained for SxS's, a three wheeler can get you thru almost any kind of terrain. My receptionists husband has a 1986 250ES in mint condition and I've been bugging her to convince him to sell it, since he just keeps in locked up all the time. The tires still have the new tire nipples on it for heavens sake haha. He has it jacked up while in storage, with a tarp over it and only takes it out in the summer to change the oil... one day I'll have them convinced... I told them I would give them 2x what is shown on their original invoice from purchase :-)

You’re contradicting yourself in your review. 🙄 You say one thing. Then you changing your opinion about the machine. Make up your mind. Doesn’t really help a person that’s considering buying a new SxS

No way i have a 2023 Honda Rubicon, and a1984 Honda Big Red. The Big Red can go everywhere the Rubicon can. I've had three wheelers since 1990. Started with a 200E then moved up to the 200X. Sold them for a Cr 250 in 1996. Always missed them so in about 2020 bought a old Big Red for 500 bucks and ride it almost every day. Reminds me of the good old days.

Can we get a video on the slowest depreciating models? Not only are sxs expensive but they also are built to be abused and in a market that is young/quickly evolving making a 10 year old sxs seem archaic. What’s the best used model to buy? Is there such a thing?

We currently have a 2014 Kawasaki Teryx 2 seater. It’s been a very good machine. It’s an LE model that was owned by an older couple and was basically their ride around the farm and to the mailbox machine. It was 5 years old when I bought it and had 275 miles on it. I was going to buy a Wolverine, but when I saw the Teryx that was as super clean I saved about 5K. If buying used, stay away from units owned by young people, and units that show evidence of mudding. Stay away from units with a bunch wiring for stereos and snorkels.

its when you see throught all the process that you understand why things you buy cost more than you would like to, i mean those machinery making pieces at the plant wont upkeep and maintain themself out of nothing, workers wont go to work for free either, i am not one of those many folks who cry everytimes because '' ThINgs aRE sO ExpEnsIVes NoWAdaY!'' , when they do i always say to them ; do you want to live a life of simplicity with the bare minimum or even less, asking for minimum wage unregarding of what you do for a living? they usually say no way then i reply who on this planet is willing to do that? no one. so nothing is going to lower and always go higher, everybody want the most they can get for the little they can do for. this goes for company too. anyway i drifted a little here but just to say that i am always impressed with how much things are involved to bring you ''x'' products , its something that is often overlooked, lots of energy spent to create these products

I bought a 2003 Subaru Sambar dump truck with under 20,000km and it is ten times better than any side by side. Hauls and dumps 1500 lbs. with heating and air conditioning. Paid $14,500 plus GST.

Folks with Honda it's extremely conservative as always you will get reliability and longevity, but you will also get less power than the competition and not a lot of innovation or luxury. I've had my foreman 520 for 5 years now, going on like 300 hours of really rough use and deep water trails and not a single problem. There nothing really to go wrong, mine is so basic, no power steering , manual transmission, nothing really that can break. When I ride my friends who have Polaris and CAN AM, they definitely have a ton more power and much better looking with tons of bills and whistles, but almost once a year that CVT belt will break if you're riding rough.... Every machine has its pros and cons. I personally like Honda because I don't like spending money on repairs....

We had a '19 Viking 3 seater we paid $13k+tax CAD for in '19, with Yamaha discounts. 4 kids now, sold that one, have a '24 Viking VI now we paid $18.1k CAD+ tax. Very pleased with the Viking series. Get's everything we need done, assuming it fits. The VI needs a 2" lift for sure.

probably the WORST atv udate there has EVER been. at least the rubicon before this has irs and diff lock with the the 5 speed hondamatic with high and low. this is a step backwards in every way. they even give a shittier third headlight. this should still be the same 2008 rincon and keep the rubicon how it was vs this garbage....

Bought a 2023 Polaris 570 Sportsman, the Kawasaki Brute force, and the Honda Rubicon, are still long in the tooth, and have not modernized,,, Polaris, Can Am, and Arctic Cat, are much more advanced,, BUT the Japanese brands are always reliable

Its the same as the argo but a few little differences, not making it any better at all! Both are still over priced, over rated, big bulky slow moving metal turtles that SUCK. I really don’t see how anybody would or could like them especially for the ridiculous prices! Lame piles of wasted money spent

I paid $3800 out the door for a Challenger 200 by Trailmaster, a Chinese made little buggy and I love it. We use it on our horse farm, holds two people with a top speed of 38 mph. Now that’s a budget sxs. I hate China but it was that or nothing. The prices on this video aren’t out the door so the added cost just for fees would probably equal what I paid for mine. Love the channel though, just out of my league for pricing.

Great video - you forgot two utility units tho - John Deere Gator and Cushman Hauler, both only 2wd, but prices are pretty good. My pick was the Hauler (comes with roof and windshield) we just run around the yard, dont really need 4wd, but the wife wanted the Honda pioneer 520. We got the camo version.
