😬😬 Depends what is most important to you. With the 2 liter turbo gone, that knocks the Malibu down quite a bit compared to when it had the bigger engine. Malibu has much more space and this 2LT trim feels more luxurious than the Mazda3s I’ve been in. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Very thorough, and educational review. Good dialogue regarding the difference between the 1.5T and 2.0T engines. I am trying to decide between a new Malibu in Mineral Gray Metallic or Mosaic Black Metallic. Since you have reviewed this car in both colors, and have seen both in person, which color do you think is sharper? Also, did you use regular or premium gas in your Malibu's with the 2.0 Turbo? Mosaic black is my preference as the black really shines. I used top tier shell, BP, or Exxon regular in my car 98% of the time. I put premium in it once or twice. Could tell a little bit of a difference, but only because I was looking for it.

But they have a 2LT coming in this coming New Year for which is my desired model, due to all the options, Bose, Leather, and Moonroof. But Happy New Years 2023 Hope you have a Great Year.

I have a 1LT coming, which is fine for me, and I prefer the instrument display on the 1LT over the 2LT with its format and analogue dials, which newer cars are replacing with total digital, not for me tho. Only thing the 2LT has that is of benefit is the built in navigation, others are simply expensive cosmetic additions. Have fun with your new car!

I just got one, love it. Had a '13 ltz and this new one is just as fast. All in all good car, although my only complaint is they skimped out on the sound system, very rough sound system. Get ready to have your volume all the way up to feel at normal sound. Only complaint though.

I just bought a 2024 2LT Malibu has everything my 2016 Malibu premier had even the moonroof but I did not get the adaptive cruise control or blind spot mirror detection system or the automatic parking that my 2016 had but I did get the lane keep assist in the rear parking sensors but I didn't get the front parking sensors I've looked more into it and it seems like GM only add certain packages on their vehicle some two LT's get everything some 2 LT's get half of it just like the LT's some get heated seats some don't some get moonroofs some don't I really hate how GM does that though

Not much for 33k. You can get elantra limited fully loaded for 27k way better interior, you'll have a power moon roof and you'll save 6k.

The big mistake that Chevrolet has done with this midsize or big sedan is the 1.5 lt engine that it’s fit compact cars like sonic or spark, this car deserves to have at least 2.0 with turbo or 2.5 with 6 cylinders to give it the fair horsepower, but with 1.5 lt they just like giving a jaguar a rabbit legs 😢

im beating on a rental one of these.. almost brand new. i am extremely impressed with how it drives. its the bottom bitch base model and its awesome for a 25k vehicle. engine sounds horrible but is actually smooth and the cvt works very well. i pretty much never have to take it over 2k rpm which is shocking. what i despise is the mirrors. drivers side has a blind spot that you can hide an f250 in (confirmed by me and another person) and they are all in all very narrow on the up and down view angle. the back glass offers 0 visibility too. center screen looks tacky and the volume knob is in a bad location. auto start stop is total cancer and every time i forget to turn it off i die inside when my engine dies and then shudders and lags. with some annoyances this is a solid 25k disposable car. wouldn't keep it long term cause turbo and cvt but for something to beat on for 1-2 years, much better than a kia imo.
