This is the first of many Christmas videos for the 2023 season and in this one, I'm showing you all of the decor I have collecting over the last few months in preparation! I will also be sharing my vision for Christmas 2023 and how I plan to decorate our victorian home this year! In the 1950s my Father bought that exact turkey platter for my Mother. I love being able to use it every year. If they were still here with me they would be 112 and 113 years old. Still miss them everyday

I always do an old fashioned tree with vintage/antique glass ornaments. I have also started a porch tree here in Florida with all delft ornaments and blue and white dishes. My husband's grandfather came from Holland...so it's very fitting. But...Jesus is the reason for Christmas. We have many nativities scattered around! Thanks for sharing your beautiful decor...💗

Can’t wait to see what you do this year! I love your home! I have been collecting Christmas decor for 55 1/2 years of marriage and add just a few new pieces each year so pretty locked in to a very traditional look--grandma vintage I guess. But I love to enjoy other looks/styles vicariously in stores and on decorator videos. You do a lovely job and so glad to see the true meaning celebrated and included.

I am planning on doing my Christmas decorating in about two weeks-the earliest I have ever done! I’m doing my Christmas “town” on the mantle and one shelf of the adjacent bookshelves (that part is “out in the country”). I even have a Kroger store-lol. On a shelf of the opposite side built in bookshelves, I’m going to display my collection of nativity scenes. I have quite a few of different sizes and styles from a larger carved olive wood set I bought in Israel many years ago to little children figures depicting the birth of Jesus. I think it will be a special way to celebrate the true meaning. Thanks for sharing your lovely home and your faith with us, Elizabeth.

I love that blue tartan idea! That’s going to look amazing! I’m doing neutral southwestern to go with my house. lol. I am going to attempt flocking the tree for the first time and not sure how that will go. I end up using a lot of fall-theme decor in my Christmas decor just for the warm tones, lots of dried grasses, terracotta and white accents. 🌵

I usually don’t start decorating for Christmas until the weekend after Thanksgiving. As I’m a carer in a home, I have to work on Christmas Day, but off Christmas Eve and Boxing Day ( holiday they celebrate in England and as I believe Canada ), which is a day after after Christmas. Two theories what Boxing Day is, one is the soldiers during the First World War didn’t receive their boxes until day after Christmas, the other is the servants weren’t off until then, so they celebrated it with their own families. Each year, we buy a Christmas ornament, but I think we’re going to stop this year, since I think our Christmas tree will topple over from excess weight! Lol! The only thing “new” I added this year a bag full of gorgeous high end thrifted fruits and berries and a small garland to use with fairy lights. $12 total. Im picking up natural things like acorns, twigs and branches from my yard etc this year. The plan is almost zero spending on Christmas and Thanksgiving decor. We decided up-cycling thrifted items or things we already have is the plan. The holidays can easily be enjoyed with a little forethought, tight budgeting and creativity 😉. We stopped the gift giving years ago and I think the family was very relieved once they got used to it. Having many holidays behind us, we have collected some lovely vintage and classic things to decorate with that can do double duty. It takes much of the stress off of having to change things out and store so much stuff. Good quality classic realistic picks are always worth collecting. After Christmas sales are the way to go.

I just watch and enjoy I do decorate my home but not. Interested in filming Yous is beautiful love the style Your homeschool room is perfect I'm using my old vintage home interiors nativity set as my theme in my family room and I am doing red and green traditional decor in my cozy piano reading room This is room my tree will go in this year It was a living room but I changed its theme this year and made it more cozy The tree will be in front of a window also

I always put up my traditional tree with ornaments my children made, ornaments gifted to me and just some I’ve used for many years but this year I want to do a beautiful blue and white tree like yours. I have done the Woodland , red/black buffalo check theme for last few years and love it so much that I will be doing it again this year! I change about ever 3 years as to cut down on cost and place to store it!

Christmas in Australia is hot, it’s summertime, but most people put up trees to be decorated. My little grand-daughter does mine because her cats destroy the tree at her house😹😹

Was going to mention you might want to check out David Christopher’s they have a tree theme called Royal Christmas you might enjoy, beautiful ornaments. I’m keeping with my theme of being inspired by the Nutcracker ballet using pastel pink, blue, and mint green with harlequin black and white. In the kitchen/ 22:28 dining area Im doing various gingerbread in pastels and some in traditional white and brown. On the mantel I’ve purchased some cheap rhinestone necklaces that I’m going make a garland of sorts to layer over the greens this will be in the Nutcracker ballet theme too. Your home is going to look beautiful this Christmas. We live in Ontario Canada and are heading to Texas and Alabama for the winter sometime in the beginning of December. I do love decorating for Christmas and winter decor. But our travel pans are going to put the decorating on hold for this year. Two years ago I decorated in winter decor, then came home in April and had to put it all away as well as unpack and RV so I’m not doing that again.😂 I will enjoy watching you decorate your beautiful home.🎄✝️⛪️🤶🎅

You found great stuff! Christmas decorating is what i wait for all year! I only do pine and lights outside before Thanksgiving, and the day after, begin the indoor transformation. I love so many holidays! I live in a saltbox farmhouse in Minnesota, and I will be doing simple, earthy, greenery with lights and velvet ribbons. I love focusing on the Nativity, sometimes just a Christmas hymn I love to give me a direction for inspiration. I can't wait to see your beautiful home again. You had me at plaid! I pretty much decorate the same every year. This year will be the first with an imitation tree, though. This 'ol Meema has had her days of tracking through the forest to look for a Christmas tree. It's time to just let the forests around us be with so many wildfires every year for the 2 decades our forests here in BC are really suffering. I am also doing a different look in each room. I found a vintage velvet green tree skirt at an estate sale and that inspired me to go green in the living room. In my library I’m doing a Black and white harlequin pattern with red. And in the family room I think I’m going tartan.
