🦋 I kind of slacked on cleaning for past few weeks. The baby and I had been sick, then dealing with airline cancellations with my older 2 kids, then just feeling overwhelmed. But now that I feel better it is time to get things done. I plan on doing some DIY things in my older boys room. Gonna paint a wall and add a few things. You helped inspired me to make this house our own. My mom is supportive and we are planning to get rid of the carpet and put in tile floors. So good things this year.

I'm keeping all of my Christmas up until my daughter goes back to college next week. She's always sad when Christmas is over so I don't want to take anything down while she's still at home. Next week will be a full on reset for me!! 😁

🦋 when kids were little and at school, I'd decorate with winter scenes, homemade snowflakes, snowmen, etc during January, then hearts for Valentine's Day and President's Day in February, then Shamrocks for March and Easter and spring for April (depending on year). I liked to get kids crafting as much as possible. Lol!

Normally after Christmas I set out all my crystal vases and candle sticks, and a few frosted looking greenery until it gets closer to spring. I’m like you… very mature normal decor after all the things for Christmas. 🙃🦋

I only put a few things up for Valentines and it’s usually around the middle of January that way it’s up for a whole month. I love how Pommy was watching you clean out her cabinet 🥰 she looked like she wanted to say, “Hey mom don’t throw that, I still want it.” 😆 Charlie is such a little mover, popping up everywhere ❤ Wonderful video friend 💜

I look forward to setting electric candles around the house, the light is soft and cozy, and I have an old wooden snowflake I put out next to a vase of holly. That’s the extent of my winter decor besides the new throws. The candles are timed and it’s nice to see the lights flicker. Loved the motivation!🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
