My sons were cleaning the other night, and my oldest boy said “we could tell you were upset so we are trying to clean our room.” I realized that it was just too much overwhelm for them, and I had not set them up with new systems for the new toys they brought in. And I told him “it’s not your fault, you don’t have a place for these and I’m just frustrated with that” he was so relieved that I understood where he was coming from. And we worked together, decluttered and assigned homes for their presents and it has been going great! I never want him to feel like it was his fault. He had more than he could manage on his own and Mama had to step in❤ my children love to get home from school and see I’ve cleaned their rooms! It’s like I lift a little burden off of them and they can breath!

@@lovinglifeasmegan Yes I just wanted to share that after hearing that people “come for you” when you clean for kids. If adults can hire housekeepers and organizers, why can’t we help our children? Just seems silly for people to behave that way. I have to show my kids how to tidy. They aren’t born that way. That’s why babies dump everything out lol.

Oh my gosh, don't ever apologise for bring a mum. If it makes you and your daughters happy then you go and do it. I continued to clean both my children's room, do their laundry cook their meals until they were well into the adult life because I wanted to as a mother I always felt that was how I showed them my love. I love that you spoke about your daughters love language! It's a HUGE thing for my family and children as well. It just shows them that we're thinking of them and that, like you said, they're important to us and it's important for us to show them how much we love them in the ways that they appreciate more. My daughter is 18 and I still clean her room for her. She is going to college and working part time, so she does get overwhelmed. It’s very easy for me to clean it and take that stress off of her.

I always helped my son clean his room when he was growing up now that he is a adult he loves to clean and organize. Sometimes children need a mothers touch even though they are fully capable of doing it themselves.

I've had two floods, one from a pipe that ran for over an hour and the other from Hurricane. Put baking soda down on the floors to help with the smell. Those fans and humidifiers do great. Make sure you have NO water anywhere or the mold continues to grow. 💕

Oh girl, I have been in your situation more than once and yes, usually around a holiday 😮 I’ve been sick since the Thursday before Christmas, finally starting to feel better, not a 100%, but getting there. I’m planning to start taking the decorations down tomorrow, maybe start later tonight. My daughter bought me some magnets paper dolls to go with my collection, I love those things. I totally get the house reno. In June we had 2 different pipes Crack and flood my living room and kitchen. I had to get insurance involved. My floor got ripped up as well along with kitchen cabinets and part of my carpet. I had to move and empty everything from my kitchen into my living room. We couldn't use my kitchen at all for 3 months. It was a pain but so worth it in the end. Blessings to you and your family. Praying your on the way up and you have a great year. It goes by so fast! I clean My son's room and he's 22 LoL 😂😆 he's a mess and I can't stand the mess! So I understand people shouldn't say anything rude!!! I have subfloor too we ripped the dirty carpet up and haven't put flooring down yet! Sadly my son's father passed away and we moved back to Pennsylvania from Dover Delaware. My daughter is 45 and I still go to her home and clean for her and when I go to my son who is 38, I will help clean an do laundry for him and his wife and my 2 grandchildren THAT IS MY LOVE LANGUAGE❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. The holidays really wiped me out. I have MS and fatigue is a common symptom for me, but I am not getting over it. My dr prescribed something today to help, so I hope that works.

Girl my washer quit and had to get it fixed. Then we had sludge in our car hose because it was so cold got that taken care of. Then had our water freeze in the kitchen which turned out to be a busted water line got it fixed. Then the water line under the sink fell apart had to fix that. Not to mention while we had the snow storm our electric went out for 2 hours with no candles thank goodness for cell phone flashlights 😂. But anyway it ended up being a good Christmas we had family and dinner lots of gifts fun and laughter. Sometimes you just have to weather the storm so we definitely had a eventful holiday season but blessed just the same!!!

Yikes. I am so sorry this happened, especially right before the holidays. Hopefully you and your sweet family were still able to enjoy each others’ company and make some holiday memories despite the stress of the water damage. Oh my gosh Megan! What a nightmare with the house pipes leaking etc.! My heart goes out to you guys and having that happen over the holidays and having to live in only half your house. Very overwhelming for sure! 🥺 Hope everything can get back to normal for you all soon. ❄️ Love languages are so neat to know. 🥰There is another book you may like called The Child Whisperer by Carol Tuttle. You can also know more things about what and how your kids respond to things, why they are shy, outgoing, like things a certain way etc. the list can go on. It’s an amazing book and has helped me not only understand my kids better and parent them the way they are meant in their personalities but also this can be for adults too. Just a suggestion.❄️ I would love to see some decluttering videos!

Megan, my kids are 31, 29, and soon to be 28, in a month. Boy, girl, boy, the reason I specify is because my daughter has no babies yet, just a fur baby, whom I adore! Both my boys have kids, oldest-4, youngest-2... my daughter travels and I take care of her dog when she's gone, I usually stay at her place & have quality time with my grand doggy! 😍 , no matter their age, I STILL help out at their houses, I watch my grands for them, our #6 was just born last Sunday, I have gone and helped do laundry, dishes, picking up toys, holding babies, their 3rd is just 13 months old. Don't ever make excuses for LOVING your babies!!! No matter their age it doesn't stop!! We are a close family, together most weekends, and have dinner together at least 2-3 times a week. I would not have it any other way! You are a mother, it is your right to love your children, to care for your children the best way that ONLY YOU know works for your sweet family!! People need to stop this nonsense, because at the end of the day, when the world is so torn up & messy, who's going to be there with you?? You do an amazing job!! Keep it up girly!!! ❤️🙌🙏 your babies and hubby are lucky to have you!!

How did you figure out each of their individual Love Languages? Did you have to modify the questions to fit their ages? Do you know about Mercury Retrograde? The plumbing issues could be a result of that. The good news is that Mercury will go direct on 1/17. So things will start to settle down for your family.❤️

It's no one's business if you clean your children's rooms. Do whatever works in your household!! I clean my son's room and he's about to turn 17. I was so glad to see avideo today,I've missed seeing you. We had a water leak from our kitchen sink a couple of years ago. We were without a kitchen for a couple of weeks, everything had to be cooked in the microwave or take-out. I was never so glad to make a home cooked meal!!!! lol I hope you have yours fixed soon!!!

Our cabinets have to be replaced along with the flooring…so we’re looking at a minimum 8-12 weeks until we’ll have our kitchen back in order 😭

I was born Gen X; I wish my mom cleaned my bed, but my mom taught my myself and my brother that it was our responsibility to make sure that our rooms where clean, we had to pick up what we where playing with before we could play with something else,, when where younger would be play outside until we got call for dinner, and if it was dark outside we would go back outside to play until the street lights came on then we had to go in
