I just picked up my brand new 2023 5.0.. whipple and drop suspension later and just enjoy it. Im not trying to tear up a $40k truck chasing a number on a piece of paper

the 3.5 for the most part with a tune beats a tuned 5.0 from what i have seen

Sick truck. Go full bolt on with a tune, or go turbo. I keep seeing fools with blowers on their f150s get smoked. Full Bolt on with a tune will be the most reliable setup. But a turbo makes power off of what would be wasted energy anyways (exhaust flow) so it increases engine efficiency. Blowers are parasitic as they're driven off of the serpentine system. Fuel economy would suck big time with a blower where as with a turbo you can make big power and with the right tune and driving modestly you can actually get better fuel economy than with a NA full bolt on or even stock setup.

Blowers getting smoked? Bro Cleetus Mcfarland just uploaded a video of their F150 with a blower and the powerband is WAY better than turbo.. WAY better. Tons of torque at hella low RPM, whereas the turbo setup doesn't make the same torque until late af Skip to 11:25, that dyno graph speaks for itself, whipple all day and much easier to install than a turbski kzbin.info/www/bejne/g3nMoJ-lnbB9b5o

​@whatta7793 What size blower is he using? And what's the fuel economy? The bigger the blower the more parasitic loss. You can't simply say a blower is better. It makes no sense. With a blower you can change three things, turbine size and the volume of housing and the pully diameter. You're basically stuck with a few options from a few companies. A turbo setup is infinately more adjustable. You can make the torque curve look any way you want by changing the turbo size, number of turbos, configuration of the turbos, boost presure release via waste gate, and most importantly tuning. You can have multiple tunes with a turbo setup. One for racing one for normal driving, etc. This works so much better with a turbo because there are more controllable/ adjustable variables compared to supercharger. People use superchargers over turbo setups because they are plug and play. A custom turbo set-up requires a very skilled tuner as well as someone who can physically mount the turbos, plumb/ root all the oil lines and intake/ exhaust piping, may need a custom turbo manifold, downpipe etc. A turbo set up is also likely to need an aftermarket engine management system. Vs simply tuning the stock ecu.
