I went from a 2016 Lariat 5.0 to the 2023 XLT Black Pack Powerboost. I miss not having the powered steering wheel and pedal adjustments with memory. I also miss the Ambient Lighting that you can change interior colors. Also did they get rid of the interior motion detection sensors or is that a Lariat option too. Other than that, what sold me on the 2023 XLT was the no key start. I got spoiled on the 2015 Lariat not needing to pull the key out to start the truck and glad they added it to the lower trim model.

I recently sold my 2021 Lariat 502a pkg truck and took delivery of a 2023 XLT sport black app pkg . in the 2021 Lariat the ambiant lighting was blue only ,my new XLT has the 302a high pkg and truth be known there is not much on the Lariat that i miss , on the XLT i real like the dual exhaust and having Alexa in the truck is great .

The Ford builder on the website doesn't give a leather option for the XLT with the blackout. It also forces the sport appearance package on. Maybe the have different options at the dealership when they build it?

What keeps me out of a lariat is the shifter placement. I like mine on the column so I just stick with the XLT and have classic soft trim custom leather my seats and it’s close enough to a lariat for me.

Haha...that's because it was.... 1979. You do realize that was 44 years ago, right? There's something called inflation + this modern truck has a tremendous amount more power, efficiency, comfort and tech than your 1979 did. It's not even the same galaxy. If someone came out with that same exact 1979 truck today, it would probably sell for $8,900, LMAO.

LOL, there's a lot more to a Lariat than just painted mirror caps, one of which is that it has AWD (4-Auto) which is really nice, especially in the rain.

You forgot leather seats, upgraded B&O sound system, heat/cold seats and heat/cold steering wheel. Standard. Those are $10k in upgrades for an xlt.
