2023 Ford Fiesta ST Facelift Walkaround
Hello guys, welcome back to Car Obsession, and welcome to another Walkaround. This time around it's all about the new 5-door only 2023 Ford Fiesta ST, which has recently been facelifted. This means it has a new front end, much like the new Focus ST, as well as offering more torque and new Ford Performance sports seats. The horsepower remains unchanged at 200hp, but torque has been increased to 320Nm, the same as the Puma ST. 0-62 remains the same, though, meaning a time of 6.5 seconds.

Interesting and informative video. I run a Mk. 8.5 ST-2 3 door, now sadly extinct which doesn’t feature all the bells and whistles of the featured ST-3 (although I did specify the performance pack which I believe was the only important option, also the mean green paint which was pure indulgence). I haven’t had the privilege of driving an i20N, but from everything I’ve watched/ read it is the more focused of the two cars, although I suspect (purely subjective on my part) that the Fiesta is probably more fun and possibly has more character.

They did offer the 3 door for the first couple months of the Facelift, those will be really rare and desirable I predict

The panoramic roof was sadly discontinued in the summer of 2022. I think the reason was problems in the supply chain. I got lucky with mine because I ordered early enough but it was a close call.

There are a couple of very minor changes to the rear of the Mk. 8.5 ST compared to the Mk. 8. The Mk. 8.5 has slash cut style exhaust tips and tinted rear light clusters.

The Fiesta ST MK8.5 is offered in Romania, but sadly not the i20N like I said before. If the i20N were to come to Romania, the Fiesta ST would likely be the closest rival in their market.

You can adjust the seat for height but it took me a while to figure out the two paddles do different things

I want this car so badly. The new mean green color is absolutely stunning. There are only a few 3 door mean green versions on the used market and since Ford gonna stop making these pocket rockets this year I am sure it wouldn't be a bad investment to purchase it. The one that I was looking at was 36k euros. Ridiculous.

IMO The front end and the seats are a down grade on the mark 8 for sure. The 3d vs 5d argument has raged on for years so not getting into that. The wheels are a big improvement though

That side bolster on the front seats will get shreded over time with many ins and outs.

Don’t just rub over the bolsters when getting out. Grab the roof with your hand and lift you up a little bit when getting out. Takes pressure of the bolsters. Did this with my Recaro Sportster Seats in my old Clio 200. Bolsters looked like new after 50000km when others claiming warranty after 20000km.
