Picked up a new XLT Hybrid today and drove it home in the snow. Handled just fine and pulled a snow-covered hill without problems. I love it. Lots of storage and a Glock pocket within easy reach behind the passenger seat. LOL You did get the mileage figures backwards, though. In town it's running mostly on electric.

@@rjbbtv959 I have not really needed it with FWD and good snow tires. I drove a little Ford Focus with 4 Blizzak snows for 4 years and went everywhere. I'll buy 4 mounted on cheap steel wheels for the Maverick next fall. I swap them in and out in my driveway.

@@apoozeo1715 I ordered it and waited over a year. Paid 2022 MSRP with Ford's private offer of $2750 for orders they rolled over to 2023 to cover the price increase. Ordering is the only way to get around dealer markup.

My wife and I have an Alto Blue '22 XLT that we bought last October. After a dealer dropped the ball and didn't get our 2023 ordered but we were lucky and found virtually the same vehicle, down to the color, at a dealership about a 45 minute drive away and we didn't have to wait. We love it. Being former Prius owners we have no problems getting good mileage. Just driving smooth with traffic, avoiding jack rabbit starts, and coasting to red lights rather than racing up to them we easily get just over 40MPG over a tank of gas. Lately, we've had a few opportunities to drive like a crazy slow Prius driver (pulse and glide) since there was almost no traffic on the road and we tend to get in excess of 60MPG when we do that. One of those trips was ~20 miles on surface streets and we achieved 88.5 MPG. So yeah, this truck can get incredible mileage if driven to optimize fuel economy. (BTW, this is all in "normal" mode and not "ECO" mode.)

FWD has rear torsion beam suspension. Must order AWD to get independent rear suspension. And the EV Coach does a lot more then summarize your driving when you come to a stop. The Mav only videos on my channel can help you learn more.

IDK, I got my 23 xlt 3 wks ago, and it rocks. 50 mpg and Im averaging 50 % electric, 50 % gas, until you put it in sport then it shifts like a regular automatic. Pretty dang peppy. I have a loaded Lariet supposed to be built the 28th of March. Be patient they are worth the wait. Probably the best bang or your hard earned dollars

Ordered a Lariat on 9-17. Got my build date on 1-29. Build date will be 3-20. Hopefully delivery will be a month or so afterwards. I'm stoked.

I currently have a 2014 Chevy Volt and am looking to get something similar but in a truck version. Currently my Chevy volt can get approximately 250 miles per gallon or better depending on my trips. If I do a100 mile trip with a charging point at the Destination Before I head back to my starting point I can typically get 250 miles per gallon. And my 8 gallon tank will last me months. This is because I can drive-in all electric the majority of the time Without using a drop of gas For the most part. This is massively huge for the reason of saving thousands and thousands of dollars As opposed to driving a gasoline car. Is this how the Maverick works. Can you drive the Maverick in all electric mode or is it a typical hybrid? This will be great information and will help me to decide whether or not to buy this truck. Thank you kindly.

We love our 22 hybrid lariat luxury with 360 And sunroof. Ordered 7-19-21 and received 8700 miles ago on April 15 22. Avg 35mpg and pull behind our class A rv. Sweet. 😊

I've had my XLT hybrid for 2 months. Put on about 750 miles. Two partial fill ups. First one around 400 miles and got 53 MPG. Yesterday filled up with 350 miles and got 45 MPG. Love my Maverick.

I'm still waiting for my Ford Maverick Hybrid XLT to arrive at my dealership. I ordered it on 09-28-2021 and I have only had the ability to test drive an Ecoboost model. It feels like it will be a great daily driver for my 120 mile daily commute. My order is almost identical to the one in the video, but I have the lux package on my order. For the price, one can't go wrong.

@@jliefer2484 I ordered my truck in 2021 as a 2022 model, the order never got filled, so they cancelled it and converted it into a 2023 order. I will get a discount for having to wait this long for my order from Ford and I should be getting my truck in the next week or two.

I had a loaded Ecoboost for a year and the gas mileage was great, but 4 recalls, wind noise from LF door, just not fun to drive unless you are highway driving. The back roads it under steers, and large turning radius. It did tow 3500 pound camper well and still got almost 20 mpg. Great for the first time new vehicle owner, just not for me.

My buddy has one of these as a work truck. LOL he let me drive it and i thought id be driving a POS instead it is a POS but its a GREAT ONE. Sure it rattles here and there and the speakers are buzzy, Its all plastic in side but considering how much you pay for it AND the performance. Yea performance. This little thing can move and dance. It has great turn in, is quiet, solid ride, its quick. Not fast but quick. You can hustle this thing around and it does a damn good job doing it. I was flabberghasted.

I was dead set against a hybrid until today and I drove my nieces new hybrid and was extremely surprised and even impressed with it if I get one it will be AWD as her unit is FWD . I am also in Canada so availability could be an issue and the difference on our dollar right now would be prohibitive to purchase in the US

choosing between this and a model y, different types of vehicle but both checks the boxes: not boring, not poor quality, cheap to run (fuel, energy efficient), space to transport passengers as well as stuff. not too big for city usage. I want to go full electric but willing to settle for hybrid as long as it's like this one 50% the price of a good EV.

One on the showroom floor asking price 28 says 37 mpg. I don't know if it would be worth it on account of maintenance and depreciation but it might be. Sure looks nice inside. A Blue Diamond Bronco doesn't look bad but I'd never go for one of those. Two door bronco sitting right next to it. Probably somebody's idea of nice.

Very sad that this vehicle will not be sold in Australia like most Ford product, U.S . management is all about instant profit for dividends for shareholders and bonuses for CEO's, not growing market share for the long term, no they leave that to the Asian Manufacturers, GM went bankrupt here with their shoddy unreliable product, from having 50% of the market in the 1960's to near nothing in the end, so now only Ford is left basically just kept alive by the expensive Ranger and the Everest offshoot.
