St. Jerome and Nativity of St. Mary received a grant form PrairieCare Fund to approach the increased anxiety, fear and depression within their students and families. In addition to COVID-related stress, those in some of their most high-needs schools also face increased community violence and unrest. CSCOE’s goal is to help bring peace of mind to their school communities through practical experiences and effective techniques that can be tailored to various settings.
In partnership with Twin Cities-based Phoenix School Counseling, led by its president, Dr. Jules Nolan, they offer an array of resources to help students, families, teachers, and principals work through current difficulties and learn to handle future issues. Through live webinars and workshops, recorded videos, slide presentations, on-call intervention and more, Peace of Mind supports the mental wellness of everyone in Minnesota’s Catholic school communities.
