Test drove CRV, RAV4, CX-5, and Forester, all gas versions early this year. We chose the Forester Limited and are quite happy so far. RAV4 can’t fit tall people. My back hurts during CX-5 test drive. CRV’s CVT is actually noisier than Forester. CRV’s hybrid touring model is attractive, but too expensive.

While each vehicle may have strong and weak points, there are three that I'd point out in a Forester 1) great visibility from the interior, 2) extra comfortable suspension as it's a car thought for light offroad as well, and 3) the awd system (available from the base trim as well). These three features make the Forester different.

Test drove both today. Forester feels more responsive on the road and slightly better to drive. Not a huge difference, but noticeable. This video is an advertisement. CRV is quieter, possibly more comfortable to sit in and bigger. Not sure which one I’m getting.

In the spring of 24, Subaru is releasing the redesigned 25 Forester offered with the Rav / Venza / Lexus NX hybrid system. At that time I’ll sell my 19 Forester Touring and buy a Forester Touring Hybrid

The CRV is way over priced in Canada. And not worth the money. Leave alone the class action law suit on the engine. I have been a Honda person for 40 years. I pick up my new Subie next week. IMHO Honda has lost its way , again.

Hondas (hybrid) power train and cabin usability win. I can’t resist the forester’s looks and AWD. Having both Hondas and other Subarus, Honda wins in reliability.

LOVE Subaru, but if anyone has actually driven the '23 Forester vs the '23 CR-V, the CR-V comes out ahead decisively. It's just a way more satisfying car to drive. I'm sure the redesigned Forester will be excellent (hopefully they don't out the giant touchscreen in there like the new outback)

Yep, I liked the Forester quite a lot better between these 2. The Hondas seat feels small to me and hard. The Subarus is way more comfortable. I like the tall windows of the Forester and the Subaru AWD setup proved itself the last few weeks here in Northeast Wisconsin. Hence why a 2024 Forester is now in my garage.

@@jichaofan2151 since I live in a non snowy area, this is not a factory. Instead the extra power will use more fuel. Hence for me Honda still rules. Any the interior of the Subaru really really needs an update and modern look. It looks so so 90's.

@@CountryB4Party Nope, but I’m very sick and tired of those horrible 34 year old interior colors. The upholstery in my 11 pickup had grey and black , so I had it reupholstered in Red with black stitching and trim to match the custom 2 tone paint on our Ranger. Eventually someone who designs the interior colors of vehicles will also take notice and make changes. The squeaky wheel gets the grease
