As part of the PDI procedure, it is my job to make sure every bike is running and performing properly before it leaves the shop. This includes a test ride.

5k difference in price, don't feel too bad. I have a 300r and know what you mean as I am picking one of these up. But the maintenance on your 300 compared to this is drastically different. The klx300's are in a league of their own, nothing that price can compare.

37" / 940mm...though my Africa Twin is 35" and yet feels taller. You really have to sit on a bike to see if it'll fit...unless you're much under 5'10, in which case this whole category is going to be a challenge.

How does the 450L/450RL compare to the 450rx and 450r?

Softer suspension with my 450l and about 85% power the R has, after a full yoshi system and vortex ecu on my 450l the R is still much faster. Those mods on the L are almost a must…night and day. I believe the R has 5 gears and the L/RL has 6. The R is more narrow by about 4 inches in the shroud area. The RX may have that 6th gear and medium suspension for open country riding. In Cali I need a plated bike so I don’t get bothered so the RL got me
