Hi TLB. Nice review. After many years of big bikes, at 6' 3" and 113Kg, with bad hip and knee, I bought one of these and found there is still FUN to be had riding such a light bike. I recently put up a KZbin video of a ride with two pals on sports bikes... one of them complained it was hard work keeping up with me! We did 140-ish miles and I could've done double that. The high screen does feel weird at first, but you could smoke your pipe behind it while riding. However, I cut a couple of inches off the top as I prefer to look over it at all times. Another pal has just traded in his Yamaha Tricity 300 for a new(ish) SH350 because he owned the SH300 previously and regretted selling it. These are good for Towning and Touring.

Had an xmax250 rode to Spain and back twice. Now got sh300. Truly remarkable machines as all rounders.rather this than 350 enfields. Belt driven not chain maintenance, comfy, frugal, easy diy. V reliable. As you say stick on trailer, camper. Two up on these no prob. They are no slouches at this cc

After a long time driving the big adventures of BMW, after an accident I thought my motordays were over. Had my BMW repaired and tried for a couple of years to get back in the saddle. But unfortunately I could not get the bike under control. So after a lot of doubt I bought a SH300. Best decision in my life! So much fun, like the first drive on my first moped when I was young!

Many thanks for this review, watched it 5 times now and thought a test ride was called for. Just today I had that test ride, got back to the dealer and told sales that the silver one they had brand new is stock is sold. I decided to add the screen and hand guards as it will be used through winter and protected to the hilt with much protection against winter road grime. Get it next week 👍🏻. My good weather ride is a 2018 VFR1200 Crosstourer which goes to sleep during the winter months with an optimate keeping the battery in good order 👍🏻. Thanks again for this review./ test ride.

Excellent video and presented in such a pleasant honest manner. Well im 57 years of age now and bought a brand new Honda sh125i which is an absolutely beautiful scooter to ride. Its quiet, very balanced, light, ABS, keyless, bags of storage and does shift well. However, i am looking at taking my full license soon and this reviewed bike is the way im going. So thankyou for your review mate. Looks and sounds a treat. Happy days :) Alan

Swapping my Himalayan for one at the end of the month. Stiff at my age makes mounting difficult. Went to Portugal on it last year, bit slow, not meant for hammering across countries. Will go on the scooter in September. Should be a smoother, quieter ride. Go well.

Owned 5 of the sh300i. Great scooters. I tend to get bored quick and sell after a year. My very first ones the rear suspension wasn’t too bad, however over the years the rear suspension has got really bad. My last was a 2016, it was like new, but my goodness that suspension was so jolting over some pretty standard pot holes. The suspension looks the same as the old ones, but honestly how Honda can do such a good scooter and cut corners like that. The other negative for some people with size 11 upwards feet is the tiny bit of foot room, there’s more on the sh125…..so if you’ve big feet check first. I now have a Vespa 300 gts, it’s on a 2008 plate and it runs rings around the sh as far as comfort goes, way more comfortable ride, loads more foot room. The other positive thing I noticed about the Vespa is it’s so so nimble, I’ve never owned anything that can handle a bend like it, makes such easy work of it. I hear people saying small wheels are terrible, well all I can say is it’s nimbleness and comfort in my eyes make it more fun and pleasurable to ride than the back jack hammering sh, and I loved my old sh300s. Only downside to the Vespa is you have to take a little time rust proofing certain areas, but that’s it. Also the more bench like seat of the Vespa gives you more room to shuffle about, whereas on the sh you’re literally locked in place, that shuffle room of the Vespa makes a big difference. My friend has the 22 plate gts Vespa with the new quicker engine, but the difference isn’t enough to bother me at all, and I find the older 08 engine smoother. Loved the video, and it’s very useful to many riders to see someone with your height and build on these different bikes/scooters. Thanks…..if you get chance do a video on the Vespa 300.

I’ve had the 300 for 16 years a great little road bike and it will take you anywhere in country sits all day at 68-70 mph this 350:has more power but unfortunately has keyless ignition. The other problem is it doesn’t come with a screen and heated grips that I had fitted for U.K. weather protection but it came with a matching top box. The problem with the 300 and 350 is the gap under the handle bars, that jets rain through and drenches your legs. I hung a small rubber Matt from the bottom screen for bad weather or long journeys it rolls up into the back box when not needed it does nothing for the aesthetics of the bike but keeps you dry. The forza doesn’t have this problem and therefore give much better protection especially with its built in adjustable screen and massive under seat storage. It is more expensive, but better value.

I have a SH300i 2011 its got 32,500 Miles on it, it starts first time, i take it out on a Sunday in winter for about 10/20 mile ride depending how cold it is! I'm toying with the idea of touring France on it, (last did this on a K1100LT 13 years ago) But so easy to ride as i gave up riding after the France trip so wanted a bike to build confidence on. I'm getting around 72mpg but not done any long rides yet, but hoping to put some miles on it once it warms up a bit! Oh i have a Givi Split screen adjustable so you can back it of for wind in your face or up it for Zero wind, i prefer somewhere in the middle as not a fan of looking through a screen. Best wishes! Ps no idea why scooters are looked down on? Even the General public refer to them as Mopeds! FFS!

I too found the rear shocks very hard on my brand new SH350, and from the factory they are set mid way on number 3. I’ve since put them on the softest setting of number 1 which has made a significant improvement on rough roads for which we have plenty here in the UK. Excellent scooter though, and no regrets whatsoever in purchasing it 👍🏻
