I have a 22 Kona N, she is plenty fast and handles great. I'm a little tired of hearing everyone complain about how stiff it is. I'm old and it feels just fine to me. I destroy back roads regularly. I do like the Veloster too.

Yeah it's impossible to get both a soft ride and precise handling. I like stiffer suspensions because it makes the car more stable around turns and if some roads are bad I just tend to not go there lol. I feel like I would opt for the Kona N but not really sure unless I get to test drive both.

i agree i have the kona N too 30k miles so far and i love it, the suspension on level 3 is insanely rough though.. level 1 is good enough for me but I know in some areas it can be pretty bad even on level 1 but I'm happy I don't live in those areas.. i do lyft sometimes and i go to areas that really open my eyes on how harsh the kona N can be. But yea anyone interested in the car definatly should test drive it 1st

It is pretty stiff tho. Every single bump and tiniest of potholes makes it sound like your tire got destroyed and suspension ruined. I always cant stop checking after hearing loud noises on my car.

I have the VN with 6mt. I turn 65 in two months and the ride is not that stiff. I am usually in sport mode making illegal passes. I think my white hair shocks some people.

Got my EN Phantom Black DCT last May. Love everything but the super soft paint. Within 2 months, had it professionally paint-corrected and ceramic coated. YOU WANT TO DO THIS!!! The prisms and swirls were way out of control. Also added 6XTH Element catch can, Rally Armor mudflaps, Powerflex motor mount bushings getting installed in April (wheel hop can be nuts). @@AZjesse1 That's exactly what I've been doing since I got it. Paint was first, then mudflaps and all weather floor liners (I live in Maine, so yeah....). Then catch can, separate rims and full winter tires (Bridgestone Blizzak 18's) for pothole season. Santa brought the motor mount bushings for Christmas; getting them installed when tires are changed back over. Last thing for a while will be a full second ceramic coating, winters are harsh up here. Then, just payments for quite some time.

I Drive the Veloster N performance blue manual. Owned a Kona N but traded it for the Veloster. Kona N is stiffer and higher overall. Just not as fun. Elantra is too long and too many doors. Always been a hot hatch guy and Veloster N wins for me. Veloster N also has a N Grin Shift button on the steering wheel.

thats true but i must say I'm glad I had the Kona N when i had to move all the items in my storage area a few days ago cause a few of them are wide and long and wouldn't fit in the elantra even with brace removed and the seats down and would take way more trips for sure... neither would it fit my ebike but sure elantra can have the W in the other areas :)

Infotainment in the KN and EN are the same. The EN just has the screens flush together.

According to car and driver the VN vs the EN: Is shorter, lighter, narrower, faster (1/4 mile), quicker(0-60), turns better, brakes faster VN>EN>KN

I was trying to decide on getting a Kia stinger gt2, Camaro SS, Veloster N, or the Elantra N. Well, the price for the Kia Stinger GT2 and the Camaro SS were a bit more than I wanted to spend, and I could get the Elantra N for the same price as those 2 used, and the Elantra N had the warranty. Had the Elantra N for a year now and am completely satisfied!

While I appreciate this comparison, when you say which car drives best it looks like you are reviewing them based on daily drivability and not performance wise. These three cars are all meant to be sporty cars and rating them as basic daily drivers feels slightly counterintuitive to me. Just my two cents.

No actually only the veloster was ever MEANT to be sporty, the Kona and Elantra were always meant to econoboxes they all have basically the same drivetrain but the veloster is gonna be more desirable and valuable of all them

I had a VN and I was heading to buy a EN but I couldn’t pull the trigger. I ended up buying the KonaN and I couldn’t be happier. The only thing that I can say is that the 18s with pilot sport tires make the Kona N .

I'd be happy with either the EN or the KonaN. Both are spectacular cars and makes the driver happy. I might just get a 23 KonaN over the 24 EN simply because of the fact that it has more room inside to haul stuff and drive my friends around

This drive around the block and 15mph roundabout was hardly a comparison. You can’t make any performance claims from this. No offense, and I get that they’re a dealers cars, but this was pretty terrible.

Other reviewers comparing Kona to Elantra are coming to different conclusions. There are videos where the wheel hop is way worse on the Elantra, and some are preferring the Kona over the Elantra.

Veloster N is the better handling of the 3. There are videos of this online proving it by having the same driver driving EN and VN and comparing them on auto cross times and they always get quicker times with the VN. Even on paper the VN is more nimble

Autocross doesnt count. A small, short wheelbase car, can easily beat a fast track car on autocross. A GR86 can do similar times than a GT3 in a small, 2nd gear only autox track. Put these cars in a medium-sized track, and you'll see the limits/difference.

Just started and already the side mirrors show they should have came with option to angle down when in reverse, or side mirror cameras. So many missing features on the Kona N in NA vs EU... The "chirp" when making sharp turns has a TSB(22-ST-007H) out on it. I switched to DWS06 plus tires and it has been eliminated so far in my climate.

A very Biased review, you can tell from the start of the video he already is set on the Elantra being the best one without having tried the other ones yet. And all 3 of these cars make the same horsepower with practically a 5 horsepower offset, but the Elantra "is wow faster".....sure lol.

The Elantra had way more R&D I suppose it puts the power down much better or just feels more refined. The way this guy drive each car I doubt he could really get a feel for any of them.

Elantra N is a Beast but come on its freaking Hideous! Just look at the front end, reminds me of cat fish for some reason lol. Big No from me, Velsoter and Kona look better to me.

Same could be said of an aston martin. Not necessarily a bad design line. I personally find the VN authentic and well-designed, the KN a bit of an ugly all-over-the-place design where the somewhat-hidden headlights, and the EN with a stated origami design that fits it well but lends itself to a lot subjective comments
