Thanks for the review. Still, I can't quite wrap my head around the idea of seriously off-roading a $100K+ vehicle. I suspect that price point has become an obstacle at the dealer as well. The Jeep dealer near me is overflowing with inventory, including lots of Wagoneers.

I’m waiting for the $20k discounts and then maybe I’ll consider one. Jeep got greedy and full of themselves (they were also late to the party with these vehicles). Dealers will be stuck with them. I almost never see one on the roads around here.

@@trenton.tchannel1810we went to look at one to trade in our Grand Cherokee L in December. My wife loves these things although I'm partial to the Tahoe/Yukon. They were ready to put about $7500 on the hood of the Wagoneer to get me to take it but they wouldn't take my car for a reasonable trade because of an open recall. In hindsight, I'm glad they didn't.

@driving sports TV I can officially say I found your old offroad testing grounds off i90 and FSR 9020 (turning onto FSR 9021). Took our 2023 Subaru Ascent up there looking for the Truck Summit Lookout last weekend. It's appeared to be a lot rockier than I remember from your videos, probably from water run-off. Really nice place to drive around though and despite the warm weather we found a puddle and got ourselves muddy! :)

Thanks for the review! It’s very surprising when you watch videos from Australia where they compare different vehicles of the same categories, Jeep luxury cars always fall in last place; the excessive weight vs power, the lack of suspension flexibility since none of these cars have solid axels anymore and yet others like Land Rover or Mercedes with similar suspension are more capable and achieve the obstacles with less difficulty, Jeeps look rigid and unable, for sure bringing the Jeep reputation down.

Well, now. I know it's been a while since I commented but I do have a life. In fact, after I post a few words I will be moving on to Star Trek, Strange Worlds. I may have commented previously about this, but one of the things I most appreciate about Ryan's videos is that he presents them in a manner that resonates with the person who may be purchasing the particular vehicle he is reviewing. Would I spend 80k on this rig... probably not. Ryan put it very well when he said something about "no drama." Of course, there is no drama when you fork over 80k. My concern is that I wonder why you might spend and extra 5k (?) for a maximum lift package, as well as a video system that might take a computer science degree to understand operate. I'm just askin'... There are several things which really work well in these videos. One is that Ryan is always cognizant of his audience. Will this rig do what the end purchaser wants it to do? Can it get me out of extreme situations?. Which button do I push... when? And the little baby birds... I had tears (not!). But you know what I mean. The key phrase, however, was when he offered, "My Ranger could do that." I have started saving up for his Ranger. Wait! There is one phrase he also says which is very indicative of the situation, "Whoops!" These videos are still at the top of their field! OK. It's time for Star Trek!

I love it when you take these expensive vehicles and actually use them off-road. You are probably one of the 5 10 percent or so of people who actually ever take these off-road. I think most people buy them just for the idea of knowing that they are capable of off-road more than actually using them off-road. Demonstrated by the fact that most of the 60-70 thousand dollar Rubicons with 10 grand+ worth of mods are usually spotless and covered in ArmorAll. Instead of covered in mud and dirt. Granted people can wash wash them afterwords but In reality, most of them are bough to show off to the Jones’ next door and look cool rather than for their amazing off road abilities. That being said, Stelantis is junk and over-priced which is probably why most of their lots are bloated with inventory. I do like Jeeps in all of their forms…..just so many reliability issues.

looks like your copying TFL with your test course. probably another vehicle that will be a nightmare to have repaired, because it has a lot of things that will fail.

true like to try both off road courses, to much electronic junk , I need just a basic off road full size wagon ,low range, locking rear dif , no need for 3 rows of leather or 2 sunroofs ,2nd row ent screens and luxury car bits nice if it had a solid rear axle

DSTV has had the dedicated off road course for a couple years now. And built a second one closer to the coast just recently.
