2023 Korean Taekwondo and Culture Explorers!

The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles (Director Sangwon Jung) hosted the “Korean Taekwondo and Cultures Explorers!” event at Ed Hale Park in Redlands.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of children, families, and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. Various programs showcasing Korean culture were offered, including storytelling performances and workshops on 'Taekwondo,' trying on 'Hanbok' (traditional Korean clothing), Korean (Hangul) calligraphy, and an exhibition of Korean books.
The event featured vibrant performances by Taekwondo instructors and practitioners, captivating the audience with impressive displays of skill, and martial arts demonstrations by children. Participants had the great opportunity to engage with Korean culture on multiple levels, experiencing not only Taekwondo but also trying on Hanbok, exploring the beauty of Hangul (the Korean alphabet), and more.
The Korean Cultural Center in Los Angeles plans to continue promoting Korean culture within the local American community through diverse programs featuring various sports, stories, and cultural arts content from Korea.
