@@shatrubodhbharat That's the problem, whenever someone tells negative about a car you own or a company you love, you don't accept. No brand is perfect and Mahindra is too. I myself have a Scorpio-N and Jeep Compass bt I'm ready to talk abt it's cons bcuz it might not be to everyone's liking. If u don't wanna accept, then the discussion ends here.

@@Michael-Angh I will be happy to hear a couple of cons if there are any for real however one can cook up a lot of imaginary stuff just for sake of carrying an argument.

At 3rd row seats you mentioned there is no charger .. but there is a 12v cigarette litter port on the left where you can put a charging adapter.. I have a fridge connected there and it sits between the two pilot seats in 2nd row...

I suspect it's the same drive train in Mahindra dual cab 4x4 ute but that's a good thing as in rural part NZ these are used as work horse's nad get flogged mercifully with little or bigger all servicing can't kill them dare I say they have Toyota LC70 reliability

AFAIK, the Classic Scorpio and its derivatives like the Dual Cab Ute have the older generation drivetrain whereas the Scorpio N has a completely new drivetrain.

Yeah But Engine Is same and Tuned well, so it's even better than classic Scorpio with a lot of consideration from Mahindra 👌🏼

It's a amazing car for fun and mainly reliability and low repair cost a fortune less than any other vehicle. I have a Mahindra and the maintenance and repair cost of my 9 year old pickup in last one year was 10,000rupee or 119US dollars including servicing and repairs costs 😂 . And mind you always run on minimum 3ton load maximum 4ton+ 😂 no problem best engines no doubt about that and a car which will last a decade.

It's not Pininfarina influenced... Pininfarina is Mahindra now. Mahindra bought 68% in Pininfarina few years back

Thanks. But why can’t it be Pininfarina influenced? Surely some of the company’s original Italian genes inspired the design?

@@drivingenthusiastaustraliaagree. Maybe the design got a wee bit cheaper being a majority shake holder 😅. "Cheaper" as in with 68% stake cost

10 months into Scorpio ownership and the vehicle has performed faultlessly Capped price servicing, ten year warranty 7 litres per 100km, comfortable cruiser and still rarer than a vegan at a Hoggies 😂

I was impressed with this vehicle when I saw it at a Sydney dealership, it reminded me of a Captiva for some reason (the center stack is pure GM stoge) . then I took it for a test drive ... Yeah pass. it was vibrating, felt grumpy in the steering, ride was ok since the rear end is a Watts Link Coil Spring live axle. Is it worth it? sure, but there are way better options in this price range, the Rexton for example.

One major downfall of this vehicle's 4WH setting is that you must always be looking at the change in road surface whilst going off-road as hard patches will then potentially damage the vehicles driveline...having the need to continually stop and switch back in 2WH whilst exploring those back roads is a definite deal breaker for me.
@drivingenthusiastaustralia
@drivingenthusiastaustralia 9 ай бұрын
No need to stop. It's similar to other four-wheel drive systems, like in the MU-X and most dual-cab utes. Mahindra website says: "Electromechanical Driveline Disconnect allows you to shift between 2WD and 4WD High on the Fly up to 80km/hr. The 4×4 transfer case also includes low range (which must be shift while stationary and in neutral)." I agree though, the best systems are like what Ford and Mitsubishi offer, with part-time 4WD or '4A' modes etc. So you can keep exploring on and off tarmac without shifting modes.

The racks are being changed out by dealers without arguments, in Oz and in South Africa If you bought a brand new model and expected no teething issues, you must be new to the motoring world
