My 2003 ss V8 commodore has a better fuel economy and has a lot higher torque & power. Also a third of the price. Subaru really need to move forward with their engine instead of sticking to old traditional boxer.

The rear seat windows (glass) do not go down fully. I would like your car reviews to show how far windows lower to - another car reviewer in Aust does show this on every review of a 4 door car. Important to some buyer, and v easy to briefly show on a video.

given how good the i20n is cornering, hyundai might claim its the diff lock, but i say it must at least be 75% pure voodoo.....every time you think " oh god that was to much, iam going to crash" the car somehow just takes the turn as if it was nothing, it baffles me again and again how far you can push the limits in this little bastard, guys for real, if you can afford one, buy it

The sound is clearly a V8, the genesis WEC car would also utilize a V8 engine, possibly two Hyundai WRC engines combined together

Great review!! But everyone has things backward ; buy the Isuzu, it's "proven". But then for the next 3 years you have to sit with a tractor engine noise EVERY DAY, less space & comfort EVERY DAY, less off-road & towing ability EVERY DAY. IF the Ranger happens to break, you are inconvenienced maybe 7 days out of 1080 odd days. The Ranger is straight forward the better value for money choice. But I agree, if you have the choice, go SUV.

I have owned the up spec version for a few months now. These are fantastic vehicles on the basis of price alone. I have only been alerted by the the #1 criticism offered by the reviewer a couple of times and always justified. In fact I find it quite forgiving. Performance is just not an issue as it is a absolutely practical, and so very comfortable. With news of Subaru heading back to an SUV as a future replacement I would like to buy a couple for the future. Impractical, but that is how good the Outback is, and in the top spec especially. I checked out every SUV competitor in the mid range and they were not a match for the Outback which really should be compared in the mid SUV category. Oil is critical but get it serviced on time and all good.
