At 40:28 I said we had AC off, I meant to say AC was on. Also since this isn't my car I didn't want to do a brake boost build acceleration test. I also noticed that the car shifted at 5k rpms in Sport mode automatic. It's possible using paddle shifters could result in a quicker time. I do believe at the very least if I had done a brake boost build up launch it would have achieved about a 6 second 0-60 would would put it right in line with C&D's 5.7s time assuming a 1 foot/.3 second rollout (which my times do not).

Just purchased a POC 2022 Turbo Premium. After filling up twice with Sunoco 94 octane, I put it throgh its paces. 0-60 in 5.76 seconds. The car has only 2,460 miles so I expect that might get better as it breaks in. I then took it upstate NY on Route 6. A six mile stretch downhill of a winding mountainous road. Some areas speed limit drops down to 35 MPH. In sport mode, I never dropped below 65 & as high as 80. As the vehicle leaned into the turns, I felt the powertrain favoring one wheel then another as it fought against gravity. It felt & sounded like a German luxury sports car with no turbo lag. Stability was true & solid. A real thrill! On parkway coming home at a steady 80 MPH it was quiet as a church. The Adaptive Headlights along with the auto-highbeams at night is amazing. Everywhere I went the road lit up like Yankee Stadium during a night game. Should be mandatory. Would save many lives. The Bose sound is real quality however I would of liked a sub-woofer volume button. For the money, you can't beat her!!!

Just picked up a 2024 Mazda CX-30 turbo premium plus with the red paint and all white interior. Walked out with the keys financing approx $26,000 Secured way under MSRP using a trade in with approx 5k positive equity and coming out of pocket for only TT&L. Came out financed from the credit union and left the dealer with a $380 payment Safe to say I am VERY happy with my purchase 🔥🔥

It's so fun to 'step on it' in this car. I got my CX30-Turbo in Black exterior/Red interior. Mazda blessed us with a japanese Porsche Macan mini. One of the best products under $39k CAD.

It really is. The torque is crazy and the sound it makes is great in the cabin.

It's the same size as the Subaru Crosstrek!!!! ... I'm beginning to like this MORE because of that-- looks more FUN to drive as well as very capable... the screen is NOT suppose to be s touch screen-- because they are STUPID and should be OUTLAWED... Ive' done towing for many years-and 87% of the accidents I've worked were CAUSED by some damn fool messing with a stupid screen. and after you clean up from a wreck that KILLED some babies and small kids becuase of a sTupid assed screen- you'd hate them too-- they ShOULD be outlawed!!! PERIOD.

I thnk I"m going to get a naturally aspirated engine and then have a SUPERCHARGER installed-- it gives an extra 40% horsepower instead of the 5-10 you get from turbo- and there isNO lag- just a gentle boost across the full pedal range- and you get almost the same MPG with supercharger. and it doesn't create the extra heat that the turbo does.. MUCH BETTER mechanically.
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain 11 ай бұрын
The turbo version gives significantly more horsepower and torque vs the naturally aspirated one. 60 more hp and 130 more torque...
@davidwayne9982
@davidwayne9982 10 ай бұрын
@@VanquishedAgain I'm not a fan of turbos... even the newer ones-- prefer SUPERCHARGER--- same effect- but NOT useing hot exhaust- fresh air instead-- so less heat stress, and better mpg- but BETTER more gentle boost over the whole range of pedal.. and BETTER for the engine all around.

It will run on regular 87 octane but you will get 227hp and 310ft lbs torque. Put 93 octane you get 250hp.
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain Жыл бұрын
Correct. That's what I'm saying, though: you lose 10% HP by going with regular. That's a big decrease, so in my mind, they should say premium required since literally every gas car will run on regular but performance suffers on some cars lile this one, or my g70 or my Edge ST.
@davidwayne9982
@davidwayne9982 11 ай бұрын
It does NOT say "premium required"--- it says with Premium- you get MORE power and torque-- and with regular you get LESS... simple. I'm like you-- PUT THE PREMIUM in it--- it's NOt that bad.. when you're getting this good a mileage... I do an older car that gets 18 mpg- and can put premium in it- and NOT improve AT ALL.. so ENJOY THIS ONE.. it's GREAT.
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain 11 ай бұрын
That's what I'm saying. It really is premium required because the car does not perform as intended on regular gas but automakers are too scared to say required. It's really a great car tho

@@VanquishedAgain We only have up to 91 around here-- will that work? No 93 available.
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain 10 ай бұрын
@davidwayne9982 for sure. So octane rating changes with altitude. I'm not sure what other factors go into only 91 being offered, I think the book recommends 91. At least that's what my Ford Edge ST book did

How's the rear-end with just a torsion bar vs multi-link? Easier to work on, but how's it do with pot holes / bumps on one side?

The car actually rides very nice. You saw in the video that I was able to spin the wheels when accelerating while turning. That could be a result of the suspension but more likely, it's a result of the touring tires mixed with 320ft-lb of torque. But the ride quality of the cx30 is great. Keep in mind that my car is a G70 with super low profile tires and before that I had the Edge ST with super low profile tires as well so I'm used to very stiff rides.

any luck with the lane keep assist? did u figure anything else out? i want to get this car but i would like a good lane keep assist like kia has.
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, no. I tried it again, and it was the same result. This isn't my car but my mother's. When she brings it in for the first service, she will ask them about it. I was hoping some other cx-30 owners would chime in on it. I will say, though, based on my experience, if automated driving is a key feature for you, I wouldn't recommend it. Compared to my Genesis, it's night and day. What confuses me and why I think that it may not be working properly is that the way this functions seems to be like the base model lane departure system that most cars have as an accident mitigation system. But the book clearly says it has lane keeping assist, which this is not.

I spoke with other CX-30 owners and they said the Turbo Premium Plus version has something called Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) that supposedly steers the car completely under 40mph with cruise control on. I haven't tried this however

THIS car is QUALITY-- quality performance- quality materials and build- and just QUALITY car all around-- compared to a subaru crosstrek that costs as much- that feels like cheap tin- and rattley- and weak-- they feel CHEAP... this does NOT..

"It doesn't have a power-steering wheel."?! REALLY? No power steering?!
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain Жыл бұрын
What? Yes it does. I don't remember saying that but if I did I meant it doesn't seem to steer itself. I also could have meant the steering column doesn't telescope or tilt using power

What!? Only 220 miles to a full tank
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain Жыл бұрын
Maybe around town. That's relatively typical. On a highway you can expect around 400. It's only a 12.7 gallon tank which is on the small side but it gets pretty good gas mileage for an awd turbocharged car. I've seen a lot of people get 36+ mpg on the highway.

Please get rid of that horrible fitting after market cargo mat. It looks awful.
@VanquishedAgain
@VanquishedAgain 8 ай бұрын
It's not my car, but the mat is cut to fit (if you want). My mother decided to keep it like this because she brings gas to her boat and having the mat go up the sides like that helps in case of a spill.
