2023 Mazda CX-50 vs 2023 Hyundai Tucson - Best Small SUV Around ?!

The newest Tucson debuted for 2022, introducing a sharp new look and a clean, premium-feel interior. No longer content to merely be competent and average, 2023 Hyundai Tucson gave the 2023 Tucson a shocking exterior design, matched to a roomy interior and plenty of technology making it possibly one of the best compact family SUVs on the market.
The 2023 Mazda CX-50 is an all-new small SUV that is sold next to the CX-5. It's a weird thing having two similar SUVs competing in the same class, but there are significant differences to justify both. the CX-50 has a more off road ready rugged design and upscale interior.
Which raises the question, which one should you get ? well, let's find out.

Okay I'm not going to lie I like the CX50. But I just bought a 2024 Hyundai Tucson n line hybrid. Smooth and quiet inside. Lots of acceleration with the 1.6T hybrid setup. Excellent fuel economy. Panoramic roof. Longer vehicle more room inside. Longer wheel base means smoother ride less bouncy and better ride on the highway. And still pretty sporty. And in my opinion a better looking vehicle. 😊

I'm considering these two...and the new Chevy Trax. Saving about $10,000 is a big consideration. Love the exterior of the CX50, interior (light gray), on the Tucson.

this is basically the same as the Kia Sportage? I know that car has terrible acceleration compared to the CX-50

Is this a real question? The Mazda is miles better than the Hyundai. I dont think these are aimed at the same type of consumer at all. One is like a rugged SUV in appearance with suspension and steering like a Porsche. The other is…just like a regular crossover.

There is nothing regular about the Hyundai Tucson. It definitely stands out on the road and the interior is amazing. The CX-50 is also high on my list after seeing it in person. The rest of the vehicles in this class are ridiculously boring.

I think they are both great cars. However the luxury interior of the Tucson is much more and better than the mazada. Although they compare interior space the Tucson has a little more space. The design of the Tucson is aerodynamic compared to a boxing look. The caneras are amazing side, front and back for safety. When someone boxes you in in a parking lot rather than squeeze in and scratch your door or a tight fit in a garage I love the remote can drive your car out of these situations. My vote is the Tucson.

The CX-50 is the only one with the looks inside and out to compete with the Hyundai Tucson or KIA Sportage. The others in this class are plain, boring, outdated, and way overpriced for what you don’t get.

The turbo is not worth the money. This is not a race car. The gas mileage stinks with the turbo.

29 mpg hwy for the turbo and 30 mpg on the hwy for the non turbo. City the turbo is 23 mpg and the NA is 24 mpg. I don’t see the amazing gas savings of the non turbo.

it is rather a big jump in price. I mean if you are an aggressive driver who likes to race people at stop lights I say get it. but they will probably trash the car in less than 3 years
