I'm surprised they didn't talk more about the engine, the turbos are inside the engine, that's why you can't hear them, and why there's no lag. It's also a dry sump. And we can all own one for just $350,000.

@@CanyonsCarver That was the last of those--at least in my experience. I bought an R230 and plastic underlies everything and at this age is deteriorating rapidly. And the top, OMG, I owned it for four years and I can count on two hands the number of times it worked properly after many efforts with proper service agents. The R230 at least was great when new, but supporting it long term... I will say that I LOVED driving it. Big, comfortable go cart with a big engine.

Love your videos, watch them every Monday, and before that every Sunday, that's how I can say, I missed the Bronco. Loved the G wagon, don't get me wrong, but your new car videos always seem more like a commercial, While your restoration videos take you in elbow deep. I was real worried when you got hurt glad to see you doing better.

@@flyingv8293 It looked like the train engineer stepped on the accelerater when Jay was along side him. 🤨 That's the type of car that brings out the horsepower loving teenager in all of us.

Funny how long a way the G-Wagon came from the much smaller original military vehicle - before long, you'll be able to fit two originals in the most recent model. They already almost tripled in weight! 😅

The Puch/Mercedes G from the 70s that I drove at the Austrian military already had a weight auf about 4800 pounds.

Its kind of disappointing for both Jay and the head of Mercedes USA to not know the car they're reviewing here...For Jay: its a 4.0L TT V8 which is used in every iteration of 63 AMG cars for about 8 years now. For the head of Mercedes USA: This car has 577hp not 567....

Sorry I'm not impressed at all! Those chrome exhaust pipes on the side are absolutely ridiculous. These "Monster G-Wagons" are also very popular with Russian oligarchs and sheikhs.
