SO..... over $40K in better materials??? What about the warranty? What about cost of maintenance over 5 years? I guarantee you after 5 years you have over $200K in that S-Class... The Genesis you may hit $120K as the only thing your paying for is tires, brake pads, gas, and filters. My brother has a G70 sport and they even pick the car up from his house and drop it off when it's done...

The build quality and ride is far superior as well as the self driving! I have owned 4 SClass and now have a EQS 580 that is amazing. But that is what you get with a company that is over 100 years old. Genesis is coming along but hard to justify a $100K plus price tag for it.

Mercedes at $145K vs G90 at $100k. The MB is not worth an extra $45,000. And don’t forget the 10 year, 100K power train warranty for the G90. Way better than the MB. The cost to benefit ratio is WAY better for the G90, hands down.

Objectively: v8 S starts at $124,000, l6 S starts at $114,000. $10k-$25k options to equal G90 features? G90 max is $98745. May matter to some buyers. Subjectively: G90 looks nicer to me. Inside and out. Not interested in this size car. E or G80 more my style. I am willing to bet both of these are amazing cars compared my last purchase three years ago, a 2019 Q70L. Too bad KIA discontinued the K900 as the new KDM example is quite nice.

Someone should let Mercedes know that acres of piano black is SOOOOOO 2010. You complain about the little panel in the G90 centre console being to bright but the Merc has tons of super reflective surfaces inside. For the money of the Merc I'll get myself a G90 and a nice truck.

Benz looks so old that people have a strained eye. Just judge by the design and options. There is no big difference in performance, and even the price difference, I will definitely buy the G90. People's mindset is too classical.

You seem a bit bias in this comparison....V8 vs V6? ....piano black all over the place in the benz interior. I no for a fact the S Class rides much better than the G90 and has more power...but this is not Germany so you will never legally be able to use all that hp. Better deal with the G90.

Not really a good comparison or a fair one to the G90. The S500 would be the better S-Class to compare to the G90. If you really wanna see a really thorough comparison see the C&D comparo between the S500, G90 and LS500. The G90 is a really nice car, but you're paying less because you're getting less. Still a great car though.

Benz is the finest marque there is. It is well earned. They typically bring technology to market at least two years before anyone else, and it is usually showcased in the S. They don’t Lord it over any other brand nor mislabel it. The cars are built like a bank vault. Genesis , you did good, but yours is not to reason why.
