Hello. I just received my Razr ± this past weekend. One thing to mention is in the US, the base phone comes with 256 Gig, and the Flip 4 & 5 come with 128 Gig. If you have a lot of music to put on your phone , the extra storage is really nice. One thing the new Razr doesn't give you is the ability to close all your open screens at once, unless I've missed something with that. So far, I'm really happy with this new Razr!

I just bought one of these unlocked from Motorola. I am so excited for it to come. I really need a phone I can use that’s versatile like this. Especially because I have metal in my hand and will more than likely use the phone closed more than open. I tried the 2019 Razr and liked it, but this is supposedly suppose to blow that off the map. I received my Razr Plus yesterday, June 28th. Really want to love this version as the flip style implementations is preferred compared to a brick style smart phone. So far battery life is good to great. I am a moderate user and find much of the use to be snappy. I have noted that at times my transition between apps and scrolling to be somewhat jerky and not as smooth and polished as I have come to expect. I will put this through the paces to see if this is right for me. Thank you for the good review. I look forward to a follow up review for the Razr Plus.

Day two of my use and overall the battery life is adequate. My initial observation is the Flip phone competition is good for overall product development to ensure everyone innovates instead of just doing the bare minimum and calling it an upgrade. Ultimately I will end returning my Glacier Blue Razr Plus. This device is nice but I am disappointed in the overall product. In my opinion this device does need the premium specs to include the latest processor as well as 12 GB of RAM. The Razr will be a great Phone for most users, however it will not merit my long term use.

I have had no issues with my razer. It is nowhere as powerful as the iPhone I came from, but the processor is more than enough and the phone has been nothing but smooth for me. I wonder if you had the ram boost mode on. I had it on and found out my phone worked better, but I do not use my phone for much. KZbin, texting, and calls.

A few things all razr+ reviews have neglected to mention are moto gestures (chop for flash and twist to capture) and moto awesome built in camera features like spot color and dual capture! Otherise great review.... Loving my razr+! Highly recamended.

I got my dad a Motorola phone that was the big battery one. I usually have the latest phones and always was for the clean android version. His moto ui actually made me a bit jealous. It is so well thought out, looks amazing, has so many useful features, explains everything perfect, and updates often. They really are doing things correct! He runs through battery like a fiend but you would never know it with his phone. They really are doing something special with motorola and I think the premium market would be surprised they have been missing out.

Mine gets super hot when using android auto. Also, it is receiving LTE when my iPhone 14 pro is at 5g in some rural areas. The cameras are middle of the road.

Great review! Of note, in Europe and I assume other parts of the world where the "40 Ultra" naming scheme is used, the phone *does* come with a charging brick in the box - as well as a clear plastic protective case. I don't know why they opted to shaft the American market while offering goodies to the European market, but it is what it is.

I'm getting 4-5 hours of SOT with this phone. That's tensor level performance. I don't really use it, don't play games, and only watch KZbin videos here and there. I know the snapdragon 8 gen 1 isnt as good as gen 2, but it shouldn't be this bad right?

Micro SD card are way slower than internal storage.

The problem is with the space. They have to give e sim and provide the remaining slot for sd card. But since neither Motorola or Samsung don't sell their flip phones with e sims, it's hard to fit a sd card slot. But for a slab phone I still don't understand how they cannot provide sd card slot. Coming to sd card speeds commented by other person. SD card is not intended for storing apps or something else. You can still store photos, videos and music. You can transfer it from one device to another device easily. I can then have both cloud options and physical storage.

"software sells hardware." Absolutely. That's so true. Motorola (Lenovo) is kinda bare bones but their software compliments their hardware rather than bludgeoning it over the head. Very little bloat, the software makes good use of the razr's hardware, and it has a few useful features that I liked back when I had earlier motos.

I wish Samsung would hurry up and launch their flip 5 already. They new Moto was launching their flip phone and despite Samsung doing their presentation a month earlier, this feels like a little loss for them. I want a foldable so bad and have previously owned every single Z flip. My problems with the Z flip is that its front cover screen is way to small and that its not dust proof. I live in Miami and would love to not have to worry about my flip phone when I take it to the beach and have to coddle it when im laying down on the sand. Would love to see a camera upgrade on the flip and from what im hearing there should be a notable upgrade with the camera wether its a slightly larger sensor or software improvements. The snapdragon gen 2 chip is also exciting. I tried out the Razr and was disappointed. The hing felt a little cheap especially when closing it and the speakers were nothing exciting. The big thing for me is that the phone is splash proof not water resistant. Yes the camera looked better that the other phones before it but still needs work. I wish the z flip 5 wasn't going to have a stupid folder style cover screen but would have a full screen like the razr

How's the thermals on this phone? My 2020 razr constantly thermal throttles and gets really hot even when just browsing. Also how's the wifi and 5g signal? My 2020 also had very weak wifi compared to an iphone se.

europe gets a charger and case in the box so is cool , recommend installing a glass screen protector for the outer screen to make it stronger , the outer screen makes a great mini tv with any iptv app or tv app , a great phone and a bigger outer display than the z flip 5

I had the flip 3 which I loved but the screen started coming off at the hinge area. I am looking for another flip phone that will not have that issue. Looking forward to the comparisons between the Moto Razr phone vs the upcoming flip 5. I will most likely choose one of those two. I currently have the S22 Ultra which is a great phone but I prefer a more compact phone that fits in my front pocket. Don't really need the best processor or camera.

After just 4 days with this phone: It started to bend backwards. Clearly visible bend (about 1-2 degree), even though there is no damage. KZbin is no longer displays white font, and if I change to Light theme, all text is misaligned. Video playback started to stutter. Face recognition stopped working.
