Most people would agree that the original Nissan 240Z was the car that legitimized Japanese sports cars here in America. But much has changed over the last 50-years, a small sporty coupe is certainly not as popular they once were, and the Z went from leading that pack to barely remembered. So it’s Time to see what kind of an impact an all-new Z car will have in the modern performance car landscape. ‪@nissanusa‬ #Nissan #NissanZ

I absolutely love this car, and the fact that they kept the analogue gauges in the car, and didn't just stick on an ugly touch screen unit. Nissan did such a fantastic job with this car. It's just a shame their dealers are awful and have doubled the price of this car under the rule of 'scarcity'. Hopefully their dealer markups don't get paid, but with the way people buy things these days I have no doubt that many of these will end up on the used market after their owners end up upside down on the loan.

The roofline is wonderfull side on, no complaints there. But there's something wrong with the front around the lights, air inlet etc, and the rear. I know they tried to be loyal to the original vibe, but especially that front from the front needs some work, but I can't put my finger on it (as an amateur designer, I did not study it too much either, but it just doesn't site right).
@KenanTurkiye
@KenanTurkiye Жыл бұрын
....yep, firstly the rear, the darkened area beneath the tail lights, on the bumper wraps around the sides too wide, needs to be tucked in a bit more I think. And the front, the air inlet needs to be shallower, the excess where the number plate is to sit on, the fake looking part needs to be removed, and the rectangular section needs to be with a less hang, and a crease or two needs to be added beneath the air inlet rectangul area with driving lights positioned on either corner, these driving lights needs some trial and error, either deep set or more flush fitting, either very small, medium or a bit larger in diameter, yes round, but need to try them to see and decide the finished design. Yep, that's my two cents.

MotorWeek gives the vast majority of the cars they prove you the benefit of the doubt. At the end when he says it's not groundbreaking it means "it's nothing special". The370z is just as proper a sports car as its replacement. If you have to be the only kid on the block to have one then by all means but if you want better sports car start someplace else or just buy a used 370Z for a lot less money

I'm not sure why anyone but a hard core Nissan loyalist would buy this over a Mustang GT. The Mustang has 50 more hp and starts at $38k. It looks better, IMHO, even at the end of its current product cycle and sounds a whole lot more like a sports car. I know Fords aren't the most reliable brands (I've owned one), but Nissan's quality ain't what it used to be. Why would you choose a Z over a GT?

First off because it's a ford,second reason for me is because everyone and their mom has a mustang,challenger or camaro,at least with the Z your not going to see another one every time you drive around the corner

I like a lot about the design but the rectangular "mouth" is uninspired at best.

I feel they should have put scoops on the front with round headlights like the original instead of squinty angular headlights like every other car these days

The rear end right away had me thinking the 90s 300ZX and 240SX. Exterior styling looks somewhat like the 90s 300ZX.

I really wish Nissan would have designed a car that had some of the cool looks of the 240z or 280z. The recessed headlights were always a feature I liked, and thought it helped it look more aggressive. The new Z looks like a lady bug. And foir what you spend, you expect performance AND good looks!
