@@mistamaog it doesn’t go with the overall design of the car. I know why they did it and decided to stick with it but the headlights and taillights were good enough for a throwback on the 240 and 300 along with the body curves. I’m still buying it but I’ll definitely be getting an aftermarket front bumper.

It appears Nissan has provided a boatload of Performance trim models for review. Nissan it would have been nice to have at least a third as many reviews of the Sport model too. This is in no way an adverse comment directed at this channel. Just an overall comment about Nissan.

I have a 2024 Performance 6MT. This is my 5th Z car, and I love them all. FYI- You can get the Sport model with the rear spoiler too. It's true that the Z is rated at 400 horsepower versus the Supra at 382, but at this point we all know that the Supra really makes well over 400. Typical BMW sandbagging. The version of the B58 engine in the current (A91) Supra makes 430+ horsepower at the crank about around 380 at the wheels. The Supra is slightly quicker stock vs stock, but I still like the Z better.

28 mpg hwy is impressive for what it is. Open up the intake and the exhaust and it will be well over 30 mpg on the hwy.

Premium fuel needed. Nice detailed review. I dig the one car color that you get with Sport. 18 inch wheels will provide a nicer ride. Once Nissan finally stocks them at dealers (Jan 2023 comment, WTF?) I'll check them out again. If the dealer just stocks performance, I'm outta there.

I like the little subtle things from previous Zs put into the next generation models but that retro back and centre display design is too much for me. However, I like the drivers side digital display.

with the exception of the Diamond black color,NIssan should have stopped the 'black roof' at the roof's ending vs the entire back window/hatch for all the other colors,and/or gave the buyer the options of a whole body-color(including the roof),or the two-tone-look;i can live with the silver-trim,but too much black over the car for its profile(unless you get the diamond black)otherwise,hot car!!

Thing thats driving me nuts about these reviews, is how 50/50 the handling is rated. half the reviews absolutley hate it, and the other half love it.. Some say its a death trap/widow maker, some say its a better daily driver than the GR86. Never seen a car that had such wild swings in review scores

The new Nissan's RWD 9-speed AT (JR913E) is designed by Mercedes-Benz not by Nissan, it's the same 9G-Tronic transmission. Mercedes-Benz shared the rights and schematics with Nissan/Jatco. Greate review 👏

They do. it comes estimated beginning 2023 with slightly more power, and little bit more sleek elegant design. US model is to bulky with all its US government safety regulations, wich are not needed in europe, it will probably be lighter as well.

Honestly if they added about 100 more horsepower, cooled/ventilated seats, better interior materials, a wireless charger as well as a 360 degree camera system, a hud, a bit wider seats and lane centering all optional in a more luxury package it would be a perfect car and could be around 60k.

60k is kind of a lot though. Most of these enthusiast cars are about performance at a low price point. Add luxury for 60k and suddenly you're competing with actual luxury brands' sports cars, and you have to hold your own against Porsche lol. Then nobody buys the 60k trim because "you're buying a 40k car for the price of a porsche". And if you don't offer the 40k trim you lose all the budget buyers you were targeting at the start.

Just saw the drag race on Jason Cammisa. It's too heavy by 300lbs over the Supra so it lost. If Nissan can find a way to shave those 300lbs it be perfect. Though it's the best looking car. Actually this Z dyno'd 365 whp which is about 440 crank hp and it did a 3.7 sec 0-60 and a 12.05 @ 118 mph .... So destroy it ?? NOPE ... Now bolt-ons for a turbo engine work wonders, bolt-ons for a na motor dont do shit. So a high flow intake for each turbo, remove the 4 cats, and straight pipe this Z and it will prob gain an easy 75 whp ...

The fastest one I’ve seen from a stock performance trim Z is 12.6 and the Camaro SS 1LE does it in 12.3, also NA bolt ons definitely do make a difference. Fwiw these VR30s aren’t nearly as tunable as the Euro turbo motors the only way you’re gonna make real power with the Z is E40 mix and hybrid turbos.

@@Enthusiastlist Bolt-ons (intake, header and exhaust) on a NA motor do little to NOTHING ... Maybe 15 hp total from all 3. Now do those same bolt-ons to a turbo motor and an EASY 50 hp ... My Supra alone with the above bolt-ons with FMI and mechanical fan removal gave 85 whp ... and no tune yet. NA motors are limited by the cams and piston suction. If those are not upgraded, its not going to breathe any better even with a higher flow intake and free flowing exhaust.
