I was looking at the Kickstarter, someone gave the $12,000. On Kickstarter they say they have 9 of 10 left for that tier but it also says that the $12,000 tier is sold out. I think a dev gave the money and then they sold it out so no one would find out that's what they did.

The Day Before happens when novis programmers take on projects way above their skill level. Those hobby programmers have no clue about anything. Second chances are for people who want to actually redeem themselves. They could have kept working on The Day Before, like Hello Games did on No Man's Sky or create a new company and work on a new small game in silence, release it on STEAM (not early access) and show everyone they are now seriously working as game devs. Instead they come back with same antiques that are no different than before. Looking for free money, free labour and use the term "professionalism" like they know what it means.

Fntastics slogan is equivalent to: "Build Back Better" Force the reason why the brothers FNtastic didn't care about the proceeds from The Day Before is because all the money they made was from their publisher while "working" on the game. Like many others, I wishlisted The Day Before as soon as I saw the initial trailer, and couldn't wait for it's release. You were the first one I saw start talking about your suspicions with how it would turn out. Kept me from spending time and money on that game. You forgot a very crucial point in their Kickstarter. They say: "All of the artwork in Escape Factory is handcrafted by our dedicated team. From the characters to the factory environments, every detail is carefully crafted to bring the game world to life. We put heart into designing each part, ensuring everything feels unique and full of personality." But, as it turns out, they are using free assets and some bought assets available on the internet. So, yeah, every detail is carefully handcrafted indeed. 😆 Add to this that most of the code in their demo comes from a freely available Unity demo. So this whole thing is just an asset flip they're attempting to cash in on. Heck, even the company's name feels like a ripoff of Fnatic.
