The Romulan Command BOFF vendor is in the same room as the BOFF trainer. She is "hiding" in one of the glass rooms at the far side. You have to go into the room for the icon above her head to become visible.

10:00 you unlock craftable Bridge Officer abilities with your skill tree - for "Gravity Well III" you need 12 (Space) skill points in the Science tree

@@MCStu Quick question on officers and the list of abilities and the learn button. If, for example, I have an tactical bridge officer that has beam overload 1 and no other beam overload ability listed next to a learn button, can I purchase a training module for beam overload 2 or 3 and allow them to learn those versions, or do I need to buy or otherwise gain a bridge officer that has beam overload 2 or 3 on their list?

@@callsignenterprise6895 You can train that same bridge officer with beam overload 2 and 3. BO 2 is trained in the Lieutenant slot on that officer and 3 would be trained in the Lieutenant Commander slot.

Do not have to worry about bar abilities coming off the bars if you have them all bound to keyboard keys. :P :P :P Also Cardassian Boffs have a good Space Trait with Photographic Memory. 1.5% Wep Dmg, 1.5% Wep Accuracy, and 1.5% Defense Rate. I believe its available even if you did not buy the Cardassian Playable race option. Romulan Boffs can be found on the Flotilla I think.

I have a few officers with different Specializations but can't use any of their abilities at any station. It always says "You can't use this at this station" or something to that effect. I don't get it!

I remember someone saying most of the people in STO never use any skills. They just fly in circles hitting the space bar. I break it down like this; gear is 30% of your build, your bridge officers are 30% of your build, your traits are 25% of your build, your skills are 10% of your build, and doffs are 5% of your build

I have a question you're the only one video that has came close to talking about specialization training modules I cannot train any of my Bridge officers in any specialization regardless whether I have it as an active slotted primary or secondary all my Bridge officers are fully promoted I can't promote them anymore so why can't I use the specialization training modules

In case no ones mentioned it yet, Your pretty much looking at the machine its almost on the wall next to the far door. for ie duty office missions to get duty officers, or to buy them the NPC is in front of you about2-3m away.

Great video :) How does rarity affect the ability ? For example if it is blue /purple increase power /cooldown?

As far as I know in the currant state of the game rarity does not make any difference at all.

1 dire question... the big event .... after Voth event i havent gained a single point for the "year" event, even after there have been quite a few more events..... i am stuck at 1050/3600 (aiming for 1500 lobi - to get timeline dreadnaught... im f2p) Am i correct to asume that the 4 other (still blank in list) events still need to happen? I cant find info about this anywhere... so an answer would give this poor sole lost in the timeline some peace of mind.

That is correct, there has only been one event, Voth, that is apart of the year long campaign. You are in good shape, Now go play in peace...

I was looking for where you get these guys. I want an all Cardassian crew, which apparently some can be found in places like Minos Korva and various other sectors - though to be honest I have no idea what that means. Where and how do you get them when in those places?

You can get then from doing certain dutty officers missions in those sectors or you can get them from the exchange.

@@MCStu Thanks for taking the time to reply! I've been struggling with this aspect because I was too excited about blowing stuff up with my excessive number of characters. So in the case of getting Cardassians, I'd try to find duty officer quests in places like the badlands or Cardassian space? I still have no idea how to make the materials for some of these officer quests, but I'll try to figure it out lol.

Yeah, Rommie BOFF vender is behind one of the glass walls at the other end of the room as the Sill vendor. I think they are called "Unnamed Romulan" or something. Very tedious

Not all boff will have surgical strikes if i specialize them into intel officers right? Is there a way to make them learn surgical learn even though it isnt available to them?

I need help.... I've started back on sto this past 4 months after being gone for a few years. I have no clue how to gain the ability for certain specialty training manuals. I did it for comman, intelligence and another one but I don't remember how I unlocked those abilities. I guess I could buy them but I would rather just do it my self.

You have to unlock the ability to craft them or buy from the exstange.

Where is shows 4 slots next to the bridge crew, I only have 1 slot available for my tactical officer. The other three are blocked. Why is that? How do I open the additional slots?

So all my bridge officers are lieutenants but only one has the option to slot 2 abilities (space) but I've taught other abilities to the officers other skills but can't equip more than one

The most complex game I ever tried to play. I have the game on at the same time as watching this video, but still I don't understand a lot. I.e. what do you need to move to the tray, everything or just some stuff. When things are in the tray how do you use it. ect? For now I just watch as many videos as I can. The main thing I am trying to figure out is what are you supposed to do in the game, how must you play it. Must you play episode after episode? Must you fly around at random and encounter stuff? Must you play with only one faction like TOS or with 6 at the same time?

This game requires a degree level of education. I have promoted my Boff’s but apparently they are stuck with ensign level station....on a battle cruiser....so how do I upgrade the station from ensign?

Which ship? Boff seating is baked in to the ship.
