I got my 2023 Limited about 5 weeks, (black) ago and am very happy with it! The Limited here in Canada has chrome trim and chrome door handles as well as aluminum brake and accelerator peddles, which give it a sporty look! The black leather seats has the orange stitching which also gives a youthful looking interior!

Agreed, it’s worth the wait to get the one you want! I’m glad I got the Silver on my Outback Wilderness (the color I should have waited for when I had a 2019 Crosstrek). As well as the option package with moon roof, nav, and RAB. The additional safety features are worth it if they save you just once. My pleasure, I’m surprised there isn’t more out there. Probably due to no significant changes for 23. Hoping to catch all models and trim levels over the next few months, we’ll see lol. 🙂

one of the selling points for me, is being able to change the high/ low beam light bulbs, with ease I know in older models you would have to basically remove the bumper just to get access to the headlight bulbs. is it more accessible in this year model?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
That is a good point! This should be the same as the other 18+ years I would assume. Which if it was a bit of work I think the payoff would be worth it to have improved night time safety and a better driving experience in general. You can also always ad a small grill mounted light bar, or something similar. Best of luck in what you choose to do! 🙂 Thanks for watching!

I test-drove this vehicle yesterday and liked it a lot, but it won't be on my list of candidates for purchase for a simple reason: It doesn't have lumbar, which used to be standard on most cars sold in America before COVID except for the cheapest base models, let alone those selling for 30K and upwards. I gave up on the 23 Buick Envision for the same reason, which doesn't have lumbar even on the highest trim although other GM cars priced less do have it. Can someone explain why this lunacy is happening because the lumbar control is almost essential given how many potential buyers have back issues or how this feature is almost indispensable for longer trips? I can't believe the chip shortage excuse given the fact that the other auto-seat controls ARE there.
@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
That’s a great point and a good question! Lumbar support is valuable. Especially with how the pelvis is tilted and the low back is incorrectly straighten out when we’re sitting. It’s why truck driving is the number one profession for people with low back pain. 😬

Do you think the sound system is worth the upgrade?
@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 Жыл бұрын
I think that’s subjective and hard to say as we all place value on different things. That package also includes the moonroof and 8” screen with navigation. So not much extra for safety, but more creature comforts that make the he vehicle more well rounded as a capable and near luxury ride. I would get the package if the extra cost was going to make the overall vehicle more worth it to me and something I plan to keep a long time, as well as not be a mental stress increase with the extra 2,400 ish cost. Not sure that my answer is helpful, but thanks for watching! 🙂

@AutomotiveAnonymous208
@AutomotiveAnonymous208 2 жыл бұрын
The crosstrek is 55” from the interior of the back hatch to the top of the seat folded down, likely 6-8” more with head rest to back of front seats. Hope this helps! 🙂 definitely test drive a hybrid before committing. They cost a lot more, have less cargo capacity due to cargo floor battery, and they only get minimal MPG improvements over non hybrid models.

No front parking sensors (rear yes w/camera) Remote Start IF you buy Sport or LTD & $ome Addnl Option$ on top of that with a bunch of Annual $ubscription$ & you will still have major problems due to Poor Subaru Software . . . Talk to other owners. Infotainment is troubled and can only get worse with age . . . Talk to other owners *Way Too Much Tech in this car* Shown in this demo . . .the 2.5's . . . 9.0s . . . 0 - 60 is slower than advertised elsewhere making it avg. at best and he was pushing that CVT hard in Sport Mode to get that 9.0s limits Can't imagine how Real World Slow a Base 2.0 must be . . . 11's 12's ??? It is said that either Boxer Engine & the CVT needs to be babied or else. You are not going to be pushing this vehicle hard and getting away with it for long. It's not a WRX. P.S. I have watched numerous complete tear downs of 2.0's and 2.5's recently and none of them made it much past 125k miles. If you buy it. . . You must Baby It with premature fresh fluids, filters, plugs and diagnostic care and maybe you will get 200K miles? It is said that dealer maint. on a 2.5 cost on avg. $5K for the 1st 5 years. Check Owners Manual for items to be done then do the math. Dealer rates are skyrocketing in my area. Best of luck

Good write up! You’re right about the 2.0, in my testing it takes 10-12s 0-60 depending on the time of year and that’s with only the driver. I’ve not heard much about engine failure or major issues on these newer boxer engines. But yes they are kinda finicky and need their maintenance. Also, a transmission fluid dip stick you would think should be included, but I guess Subaru had a reason to not include it? Lol
