Just bought a base 2023 WRX today. Absolutely love that car. I had an Si before the WRX and the WRX drives so much better and is so much smoother. The thing I like the most about my WRX is there's no rev hang. Si had tons of it and it drove me absolutely bonkers. WRX is so much fun to drive since it doesn't have any rev hang. Thank you Subaru for fixing the rev hang issue in the WRX's (something Honda should've done a long time ago and should still do). It makes the car so much more fun to drive without the rev hang. The rev hang is one of the reasons I got rid of the Si and I'm much happier with my WRX. My favourite car I've had and I plan on keeping this car for a long time. Such a fun car to drive.

The comparison between the BRZ and WRX makes perfect sense to me. I'm actually trying to decide between the two myself. The reason is, there just aren't a lot of fun, high quality cars on the market right now in this price range, and Subaru just happens to have two. For some reason the only vehicles every manufacturer seems interested in selling are SUVs, crossovers, and cars that look like an SUV or crossover. And Subaru has a lot of fans that specifically want a subaru, and the only decision is which model to get.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. The big title of the video, then it just kind of ends like the battery in his camera died. The WRX has gotten insanely expensive. And shame on Subaru for putting HVAC controls on the touch screen. Someone on the WRX design team has lost touch with what Subaru customers value. Just because we have the technology to put HVAC controls on a touch screen, doesn't make it a good idea. I have a '17 BRZ Limited with Performance Pack, and a Forester XT. Love the simple controls. One thing he failed to mention is driver height. A family member who is tall with long legs opted for the WRX over my gen BRZ because he just didn't fit well.

@@clintonrodriguez9771 That's exactly where I was. I have a Forester too, so this didn't have to be very practical. That said, I test drove a Miata too, and just couldn't see how that would work with NO room in the cockpit for anything. Jackets, wife's purse, etc, all has to pretty much go in the footwells. The back seats on the BRZ are mostly uninhabitable (squeezed a single passenger in there once), but they are great for jackets, and anything you want to be able to grab without getting out of the car. Also in choosing the BRZ over the WRX, I wanted, for once, to choose a light RWD car built on a dedicated platform, vs something designed to be 10 different flavors depending on mods. I'd already had a Civic Si, and the WRX is an Impreza on steroids. Nothing wrong with those cars, but I'd never had a great time/circumstance to just go for the dedicated design until I pulled the trigger on this. Got a great deal - it was still on the lot in January of '18. Sadly, it is difficult to even find the new gen BRZ/GT86 on a dealer lot.

@boost331 I don't agree with the hivemind about the looks. I just ordered a wrx 2023, and I don't even have kids. I just like having backseats. I also feel like power is not that important to me. I don't want a speeding ticket. I do want good handling, awd, etc.

This is the weirdest comparison I've seen all day.

So basically if your a loser you like the brz, and other way around for the wrx
@curtfox91 Жыл бұрын
Yeah you really didn't drive anywhere the only thing that was kind of annoying about this is you literally went in 1 circle didn't have time to elaborate on both cars. And the Fa24 revs better in the WRX because it is using a different Tune then in the BRZ which has rev delay

That WRX is a 2022.

There is no difference
@odaymarks Жыл бұрын
@@steve8803 The only reported difference to date is the price increase of $1,025.00. The fact that the reviewer can’t properly identify the car he is reviewing is the major concern, I’m pointing out.
@steve8803 Жыл бұрын
@@odaymarks major concern? That's extreme.
@odaymarks Жыл бұрын
@@steve8803 Not extreme at all. A reviewer should know what year car they are working with to do a proper review.
@steve8803 Жыл бұрын
@@odaymarks it's extreme. Clearly you have an otherwise perfect life to qualify this as a major concern.

BRZ isn't a very good daily, fun mountain road car

I would be so pissed if someone working for the dealer broke the break in period shit from the manual. Literally one of the best parts of buying new is knowing it was broken in just for some idiot to break that in the first 10 miles

You do know you shouldn't stop in the crosswalk at a turn right?
