I have never done a stash-buster blanket. What if you have different yarn weights.?..do I change hook size or use the same size hook for all? Also, what are the multiplies for this pattern, please? I would like to make a scarf! I love this idea! Like you said, I didn't want to do the "usual" stitches, either. Thank you for sharing!

I'll post the multiple and stitch pattern in the description box later today! I suggest keeping the yarn all relatively the same weight and use the same hook throughout. (I tend to use 4 weight acrylic yarn the most, so I gathered up my odds and ends of that to use in this blanket.). If you use a 4 weight yarn and then a 1 or 2 weight yarn, the blanket would probably be stretched in areas where the stitches are so much smaller and wouldn't shape up right - Although I haven't tried that so I can't say for sure!

@@bitknits thank you for responding! I tend to use 4 & 5 weight yarns, so I guess there shouldn't be an issue! There's only one way to find out.....lol

I wouldn't think you'd have an issue changing between a 4 and 5 weight yarn - if the stitches come out too big with the larger weight maybe go down a hook size - and yes I love that comment - only one way to find out!

with119 chain how big was the blanket?

Mine is measuring almost 40 inches across with 119 chains. I will be adding a border, so it will be a few inches wider when I'm finished.
