I just picked up one of these 15 days ago so excited to get a review from you! I preferred the white but seeing all the colors from both the 23 & 24 models together it was a hard decision because they all looked great. Torque(y) engine is surprising and like you I prefer it in the "B" mode. I've seen dyno results for all the modes and A & B have identical HP with C being slightly softer up to about 7000rpm. Took it up to the Towers @ South Mountain Park in Phoenix (very tight and twisty with smooth pavement) a couple of days ago and it was just too much fun! Also watching Eicma coverage there will be a GSX 8R version that is basically the 8S with an attractive sporty full fairing, slightly lower clip-on bars, and Showa suspension (still non-adjustable?) for a little less than $500 more.
@thomasbouvier320310 ай бұрын
well non ajustable aren't a shocker. It help with keeping price in range, and tbh it was really good on 8S stock. Tho i went with more playfull and soundfull ducati monster 937 on second hand... I currently have a GSX250R. There ARE some VERY nice things about it, but also a few Cons. It's top heavy. You have to be HERCULES to get any real stopping Power from the Front Brake Lever. The Side Stand is an inch too Short. On the Po Side again, I DO like its Power for a 250. There is a long hill a few Miles from here and the 250 WILL pull it at 70 going up it if I drop it into 5th Gear. The Saidestand is SO bad, that on even the most slightly uneven ground, the Stand is too short, and OVER SHE GOES onto its left side. This has happened to me TWICE, and has Broken things both times. It is VERY Stable on straight stretches, but it does NOT like hard cornering. I've had Bikes in the 1970's that handled better. The 8S and 8R seemed to have solved most of this issues. I'm VERY interested in buying of those and SELLING the 250!

I really feel like Naked bikes are stupid. you have bikes with the power to go nice speeds but it's uncomfortable to do it with the wind hammering you. going a 100 miles and hour and you might as well be in a hurricane with 100 mile and hour winds hitting you. personally I think Naked bikes got popular because the modern sport bikes with fairing are so uncomfortable because of the ergonomics. that when bikes came out with comfortable ergonomics but still handles close to a sports bike. people just wanted a Naked bike. because you didn't have a choice. it was either a fairing and a back breaking lean to the handlebars. or no fairing and a comfortable lean. but what people really want is sport bike handling with comfortable ergonomics and the fairing. like the Aprilia RS 660. as far as this Suzuki goes. I love the new model that is coming out with the full fairing. but for now I will be sticking with my Ducati 939 Supersport that has naked bike ergonomics but with a full fairing. but I really want to test ride this GSX 8S.
