Would you do Camry V6 or 4-cylinder? How do you like the XLE? Thanks for watching & subscribing! Jeff

V6 without hesitation The 4 cylinder is just too noisy this generation vs the 2017 Camry where it’s 4 cylinder was very smooth and quiet and oddly sounded good and wasn’t buzzy But this generation though the v6 has to take the trophy Oh and 99% the v6 will be gone for the next gen Camry so grab the remaining v6 Camrys while you can as they may become collectors itsms XLE is fine but XSE is way better. But I will say I’m not the biggest fan of the 2021 refresh. They ruined the looks and the interior. The 2020 model pre refresh is just so much better in every regard

V6 without a doubt. I also believe the styling of the XLE is somewhat bland.

I own the 2023 XLE, AWD in reservoir blue, 4 cylinder. Being retired, most of my driving is local. However, last fall I went on a road trip of about 1,200 miles, that included some steep inclines and curves. Overall, whether local or over the road, I love this car. The 4 cylinder paired with 6 speed transmission provides a very satisfying power train. I have zero buyer's remorse. 👍

We are going to lease the XLE AWD this week -- no V6 for us (we want AWD which we cannot get on Accord). We are even getting a better deal with our current 2020 Accord Touring with the Toyota dealership over the local Honda dealership. As we are in NJ, most of the cars coming to our area are AWD. We are also choosing NOT to get Navigation or Sunroof because we find them a waste of money (Android Auto is free), but wish we could get the Driver Assist Package as a stand alone Option, as it's only available with Nav and Sunroof (boo!). Finally, we sat in both Camry XLE and Accord Hybrid and we found the Accord a more tighter and uncomfortable fit than Camry (boo Honda!) so looking forward to going back to Toyota this week to put our deposit down on the XLE AWD!

I am the proud owner of a 2018 Camry LE , four cylinder 2.5L . The reason for my purchase was to have a high quality & Comfortable vehicle. With the eight speed transmission. This engine/ transmission choice is the best overall sedan I have ever owned. I also enjoy manual shifting to have greater control . 34.5 MPG . It does it all very well . And if I wanted a sports car , I would not have looked here. Just saying .

Beware of MSRP increase as October to early November 2022 was $35,820. Here in December 2022 the MSRP is now $36,370 or increase of $550 on the '23 Camry XSE V6. Likely because the Feds increased Interest Rates by .1 percent and fuel costs are on the rise again in the winter and holiday months that Toyota up the MSRP. Also, some dealerships are adding a Mark Up about $9k making the cost above $45k before any Optional Packages. Refuse to pay the insane Mark Up and walk away. If you have AllState Insurance there is no need to spend $200 for GAP insurance because if you get into an accident and the vehicle is deemed Totaled, AllState uses One CCC to assess value of the vehicle and most times will pay out above cost of the vehicle meaning that your loan balance owed will be paid by AllState and you owe nothing. Get Toyota VSC because of all the Technology gizmos and other things can become defective/malfunctional so protect your investment. I'd rather pay $2,000 now for VSC and have it included in the loan rather than pan out $2K to $10K later for a repair. Never pay for Undercoating or Paint Protection, if you wash, clean, wax, on a regular need bases and check for rust on occasion, get your car serviced at proper intervals then you don't ever need Rust Proofing unless you run over big object scratching up the undercarriage or don't clean around the doors and the hinges, and the wheel wells then rust could develop. Be good to your car and baby it and should last a long time. Cars are expensive and it will continue to be more expensive as years go by. This is likely the last year 2023 that Toyota will include a V6 engine for most of their vehicle and their Lexus brand.

It's STILL that insane, eh? In So. California prospective Toyota buyers were confronted with 3 challenges: 1) some dealerships charging up to (and some over) $5,000 over MSRP for a new Toyota, 2) a 3-month up to a 1-year wait to get the car that you wanted (unless the color, accessories, and trim level didn't matter to you), and/or 3) inflated prices of used Toyotas costing almost as much as brand-new ones, e.g., a slightly used 2022 Camry LE with 5,000 miles offered at $29,000. It was no wonder why on this one particular Toyota lot the only brand-new cars available were Tundra and to a lesser extent Tacoma pick-up trucks (terrible MPG).

Canada should bring back the V6 trims as they are slowly being removed... I had a 17 XSE V6 and loved the drivetrain but I got rid of it due to electrical issues... I was prepared to buy a new one and a number of dealers told me that they are stopping production... I would hope that by the time I graduate from University, I can place an order for one to add to my Mazda CX-5 Turbo.

Wanted an XLE Hybrid but none available in time for our lease end in May. Seems like Kentucky isn't sending enough hybrids to the East Coast, as we're getting mostly XLE AWD and not the V6 or Hybrids. Anyway, we're happy with the 4-cylinder. Wish we could get the Hybrid but 2.5 ICE isn't too bad for the local driving we'll be doing most of the time.

Another great car review, Jeff, and no kidding, I think the Camry is one of the very best cars on the road if you want reliability, fuel economy, very nice, quiet, and comfortable road manners/handling, safety, and longevity. Between my wife and myself, we've owned 5 of them since 1986 and none of them have ever disappointed us. And, I'd always go for the 4-cylinder, especially because the newer Camry 4-cylinder models get crazy-great highly MPG. My new 2022 car however is a Subaru Forester because it is better suited for carting around musical equipment, bicycles, and for car camping. Otherwise, I would've bought another Camry -- they're just that great a car and fantastic for long road trips.

I will never understand how SET gets away with ripping off customers with their inflated surcharges. $699 for oil changes, tire rotations and roadside assistance that anywhere else are included in the price of the vehicle at no extra charge, $499 for floor and trunk mats that cost $299 when purchased from Toyota directly, an "LED interior light upgrade" for $169 that's essentially $5 or $10 worth of LED bulbs and 10 minutes of labor, if that. Seriously, how do they get away with that?

I've owned Toyota Camrys since 2004 new and I did purchase a 2023 and have to say it is the worst Camry I've ever bought. I have an XLE regular not a hybrid and it's missing many of the things that were on my 20/20 like a locking glove box and lights on the visor mirrors. I also checked on the horsepower because it seems to be weaker than ever and sure enough it says 8 horsepower less than my 2020. They also had such a waiting list on the cars You couldn't get the color you want without waiting close to a year where I'm at in the Midwest. So when one came in they told me it was ice pearl white and an extra $400 for the special color. The problem is that's the only color I see on new Camrys so it was just a money grab from the company to cut costs. This car does really seem like I'm driving a Corolla and will probably be the last Camry I buy. Probably go with the Honda or a Subaru from here on out. It's really sad because obviously I love Camrys after driving them for so many years new and used.

None of these cars are what they used to be, all shitty to some degree. Costing cutting has affected them all. What did you think of the seat comfort in your XLE? I have/had some interest in that particular trim.

Distributor/ Dealer Options are just terrible. Why? It only costs $299 for All Weather Mats and Trunk Tray and the dealer wants $499 or $200 more to lay your floor mats. Order your 2024 Camry today. Yes! the 3.5-liter V6 is still available. However, APR% or Interest Rates will vary from Dealership to Dealership which also depends upon your Credit Score. You can negotiate on APR% as Toyota Financial only provides a guideline or recommended APR% for Dealerships to go by. TFS does not control what APR% you are charged but it is what the Dealership Finance Manager wants to set your final APR% at. You can also negotiate cost as MSRP is a standard reference. Meaning APR 4.99% can be changed to 4.29% or 2.0%. The Dealership pays a Dealer Invoice for the vehicle which they buy the car from the Toyota Factory. For Example, the Camry XSE V6 cost the dealer $34,000 but the MSRP is $41,600 including Destination Fee which you the buyer pay, not the Dealer. Therefore, there is room to negotiate the Camry price at least $500 to $2,000 less than the Window Sticker MSRP. Most Dealerships want to make the most profit they can, a business cannot function or stay in business without making a profit. A dealer will never sell at the same cost they paid. 2023 Toyota Vehicle Service Agreement Platinum "VSA" Plan and Cost chart are shown below effective as of July 13, 2023. only applies to 4RUNNER, HIGHLANDER AWD GAS, RAV4 HYBRID/PRIME, TACOMA 4WD, TUNDRA 2WD, VENZA, CAMRY, GR COROLLA It is possible to find lesser VSA prices at other Toyota dealerships. Your VSA takes effect the day you purchased the vehicle. New vehicles are already covered for the first 3 years /36 months or 36,000 miles by Toyota. If you intend to keep your vehicle for less than 5 years, you do not need a VSA. If you plan on keeping the vehicle for 5-plus years get the VSA that suits you. Since I drive between 6K to 10K miles per year, I have the Toyota 10-year/100K mile VSA for $1,840. At the Toyota dealer where I purchased my Camry, the Finance Manager quoted me 7yr/100K for $1,855. I shopped around and got my VSA for $15 less and 3 more years. You can contact any Toyota Dealer in the USA to get a quote, most times you can save $100 to $1,000. Beware of 3rd Party Extended Warranties ... most are scams and may actually cost more than the Original Manufacturer's warranty.
