Have been driving a 2023 Camry XSE 4 cylinder for 2 years now. Superb vehicle. No creaks, groans, or vibrations of any kind. No play in steering wheel. Use the panoramic moonroof as a quiet ventilator most days instead of air conditioning. 4 cylinder has more than enough acceleration for street and highway. Love the 360 view camera/front camera for parking in shopping centers. Seat fits me like a glove. Superb outward visibility in all directions, with no blind spots. Best of all is the HUD (heads up display) which shows exact speed, navigation directions, gear selected, and rpm. Spare tire is almost the exact diameter of the standard tires. It is a breeze to put on if there is a flat. Car has never needed a repair or even an adjustment since purchase. Drive the car in manual mode for sportier driving. Thank you Toyota!

Lovely car but I'd say the biggest problem this Camry gen has is the awful and cheap interior creaks and rattles. I've owned both a 2019 XLE and a 2020 LE and they all have ticks, rattles and creaks especially during summer. I'm thinking about switching to a Lexus IS/ES because of this.

@richscott2483 Жыл бұрын
Camry is just a Camry depending on the trim for better amenities. Now that the 2024 Camry started production on July 7, 2023, it will be the 7 iteration/consecutive year of the 8th Generation model. XSE you have a Hybrid, standard 2.5 liter 4 cylinder with or without AWD, and the option to go higher for the 3.5. liter V6 that is only FWD. It is a family sedan, and some trims give it a flashy sports appearance. If you want the best least expensive Camry get the SE trim not LE. Next would be XSE AWD, afterward if you want the cheapest affordable option for a V6 is the TRD. From there shoot for the best of the best Camry trim the XSE V6 fully loaded. As for a Hybrid Camry - take it or leave it.
@HawkeyeRides Жыл бұрын
Nice tips, I did explain a few different trims to help, I didn’t want to go over every trim as it can become confusing so staying around the price of this trim and not going to 40k trims. Great information but mid 20k buyers most of the time don’t look at 40k plus trims. I’m not a sales guy so it’s always nice to see other with good knowledge 👍
@Da__goat Жыл бұрын
I really wish that toyota gave the camry TRD the GR treatment and took the 3.5L V6 engine, gave it two turbos and the awesome 8 speed ZF as well as the AWD from the other camry lineup. As it is now, its just cosmetic features. The XSE and XLE both have much nicer interiors than the TRD as well as heated and ventilated seats. There isn't much of an argument for a car whose engine and transmission aren't really designed to take advantage of anything sporty. There isn't really anything about this combination in the TRD that makes it appear sporty or attractive to a sport enthusiast with no difference between that and something like the XSE with very limited modification potential.
@HawkeyeRides Жыл бұрын
It would be nice to see an upgraded engine but for 25 we may not even have a v6. The trd does lower the ride and add a cat back but the brembo brakes are not needed and the aero kit looks nice but doesn’t do anything for dynamic, it’s just styling. Features it also takes away which doesn’t make since because it is more money than an XSE but I personally like the trd for the price I would buy it over the other trims as it’s maybe a grand more than the XSE.

Before you buy a new Camry, be aware that Toyota will charge you a subscription fee for certain things like the remote start feature on your keyfob. I was lied to when I bought the vehicle, and now I have a $40k car that I will have to pay extra every month if I want the buttons to work. I guess we'll see what they turn off next...power windows? trunk? door locks? speedometer? How far do we go with this Toyota? Toyota is going the same route as BMW with the heated seat subscriptions. Buyer beware!

Theirs plenty of places who will install a remote starter for you , just have to do your research . Just make sure place is reputable and not a hacker because it can mess with your car if not done right . But I totally understand your point it’s the principal of it all like why pay top dollar or extra money for all these features on your car then have to pay monthly to keep them features when the whole point of paying extra at signing was because of the features which is why prices vary on the same cars because of different features. . If that’s the case better off buying the LE base model and saving an extra 10k in price.

At highway speeds when you enter a normal freeway curve in a city or city suburb the cruise senses the curve and lets off the gas for about 1-2 seconds. Just enough to shift weight forward then pick back up. Really unsettling and irritating. Other than that I love it. Nice quick good handling sport sedan. Why are you comparing this to a TRD? Isn't this a review on the XSE?
@HawkeyeRides Жыл бұрын
I am comparing to a lot of different trims because of pricing
@richscott2483 Жыл бұрын
The XSE is caught below the TRD as does not have a V6 engine but if you opt for the XSE V6 you are above the TRD. For the price tag, TRD is the cheapest way to obtain a V6 but you forfeit many great amenities that you would get in a XSE V6 and even the XSE has a few amenities that the TRD does not get. If you do not want the V6, then leave the Camry family and move into Lexus territory. Personally, the only Camry trim worth having is the XSE V6 fully loaded. If you want economical and affordable get a Corolla with AWD. The bottom line, it is what you can afford, and limit your choice between 2 to 3 vehicles. Review all the Pros and Cons, then you should at least take a Test Drive . The TRD is good for single guys who want sporty-type bolted-on body attachments and a different Sport-Tuned suspension. The TRD is not anything special or devoted vehicle as any Camry with the TRD accessories can appear to be a TRD. Remember you will have less Ground Clearance so avoid potholes and speed bumps. I own and drive a 2023 Camry XSE fully loaded with Cold Weather, Driver's Assist, and Navigation packages, MSRP was $41,305. I paid $40,150. Never pay full MSRP, that is not the price the Dealer paid as Dealer Invoice. is typically $5K less and as the buyer you pay the Destination Fee, not the dealer. You should be able to get $500 to $1500 off MSRP. Next never Trade In a vehicle as it is like going to the Pawn Shop and receiving 40 percent of what it is worth. $10K merchandise item sold at Pawn Shop you get $4K. Pawn Shop resells for $8K to $12K. Now if the dealer is fair and reasonable and you feel you just don't want to hassle selling your car, trade it in even though you decided to give away money to the dealer. Never say you are going to pay in full and buy the car in Cash or got a cashier's Check. Negotiate for a fair price, talk or leave and go to another dealership. Shop around. If there is a Big Markup on any car you see, run away from that dealership. Car worth $48K and they want $60K just got to be insane to pay it, that car still only worth $48K and then once bought driven off the lot depreciates a few grand.

Yep! pushing the no one wants Camry TuRD but if you are Single, not sure who you intend to Impress? The TRD aka turd is not a Sports Car. I own a 2023 Camry XSE V6 fully loaded which is very true will not get very good MPG if you do a lot of City driving as in 16-17MPG City. 22MPG City is in a Toyota Controlled Testing Environment with preset configuration aka Not Real Life City Situations. The 9th Gen 2025 Camry Hybrids are all garbage vehicles, better off with a Mazda CX-5. Honda been down the tubes for a few years now. You might move up a level to Lexus. Stay far away from KIA which means Killed In Action as your life depends on it. Both Toyota and Honda are not as good as they once were. Mazda is on the rise. Even the Hyundai Sonata gone from good to bad.
