2023 Toyota Crown Limited Overview

Today we're taking a look at a brand new model in Toyota's USA lineup, the 2023 Toyota Crown. There are three models of the crown that are available. The XLE, Limited, and Platinum. The lower two come with the hybrid powertrain while the platinum model comes with the turbo hybrid, hybrid max powertrain. Love this car and wanted to buy one. Almost impossible to find. Very few sent out and most are reserved in advance. The whole car market is ridiculous. Never seen a single top end one in all of New England.

I own one. Love it. My only issue is, my samsung s23 phone will not stay charging in the wireless charger. I've seen many complaints about this with samsung phones.

Just got it but the seatbelt alarm goes on when no one is in the back and the seatbelts aren’t buckled. Does anyone know if this is a setting that can be churned off?

I like. The turbo hybrid is new (on platinum) and it would be nice to know how many extra miles you get with that.

Extra miles? You get 30mpg and you less less overall range. Hp is around 330.

It will stay in eco and normal mode. It will not stay in sport once turned off

Great video, mildly disappointing vehicle. Lots of high points, but I had my Corolla hatch in for servicing recently and was not impressed by the Limited in the showroom, primarily due to the very standard-grade Toyota interior. For $46K, this out to be at least as nice as the outgoing Avalon. It's not. My take, unless the supply stays low, this will be easy to get for below MSRP in a year or two. Also, the trunk switch in the absurdly small glovebox is likely a valet lock-out.

Dealers are already giving them 2,000 below MSRP just to get them on the roads. Our dealer said they will do 44,000 OTD for a Limited. It’s not the exterior color we wanted so we are still looking but that is the price of the XLE so I think it is a decent deal.

I think it's a great vehicle but Toyota has overpriced it. A fully loaded top trim Toyota Crown can cost you over 60k OTD when including taxes, dealer fees, etc. That's encroaching onto Lexus territory. Even the cheapest base Crown XLE can end up costing you over 50k OTD. I'd much rather buy the far cheaper Camry hybrid which gives you around the same amount of passenger and cargo space.

You can get a used low mileage Lexus ES300h for $35k-40k or even a Lexus LS for 60k. 60k and even 50k for a Toyota is a joke. The ES is a better fit for half the price. The only benefit of the crown is the panoramic roof

Great job forrasta! Dealerships are discounting Crowns because they're just gathering dust for months without being sold. Now if only they would discount Corollas too but I know that won't happen lol.
