You probably know this but the 0-60 on the HybridMax is closer to 5.6. The standard Hybrid is 7.6. The regular gas is about the same based on testing data from MotorTrend.

The thing that made me just want the gas version is I heard these hybrids only let you fill 12 gallons of fuel. The tank is supposed to be 17 gals but gas light comes on and car will only let you put in 12 gallons when its reading empty. What happened to the other 5 gallons??

BE CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BUY A NEW GRAND HIGHLANDER .Grand Highlander Having a bad sound issue . I bought a brand new Grand Highlander 2024 and it`s making a booing sound and too much pressure in the cabin and it`s giving me and my family a headache and ear pain. the sound is coming from bottom of the car from the 2nd raw area. I brought it back to the dealership and they said there was a another GH owner also having the same sound issue and they don`t know how to fix the issue .I couldn't drive the car because the sound giving us ear pain and headache. I contact the Toyota customer care many times and they are not doing anything on it. I am really Upset and I never expect something from a trusted brand like Toyota. Now I spend a huge amount of money and I cannot drive the car . The dealership and Toyota don`t know how to solve the issue. so be careful before you buy a Grand Highlander. Do a test drive and make sure there is no such sound on your car because even if you bring it back to fix it ,they don`t know how to fix it .

Great review, Matt. However, I wish you could also do a review of the lower trim, regular hybrid - the Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited! I have yet to encounter a comprehensive review of the regular hybrid on other KZbin channels since many are only concentrating on the Hybrid Max model.

Thanks for the love! The hybrid max is what Toyota is filling their media fleets with which is why you’re seeing so much of that. But I suspect later in ‘24 they will roll out other variations and then I’ll see if I can get my hands back on it for you 👌

Nice - I want one - trouble is that when I spec one out on the internet the answer is 'this vehicle does not exist!!! Pretty hard to sell me one of these if it doesn't exist!. I'll give it a few months and then probably wait and see if Toyota wants to sell me one. Since they are cutting back on the number of vehicles that they will sell in the US next year!!!why do they advertise? Come on man.

Some people are complaining that this isn’t a body on frame SUV. Toyota has 3 models that are body on frame… 4Runner, Sequoia & the new Land Cruiser. If you want a large 3 row SUV that is body on frame then buy a Sequoia.

I agree with you and that the GH is great and all that, but the sequoia now STARTS at what the Grand Highlander TOPS OUT at. And you do get way worse MPG and room inside for more power and a few QOL improvements. Regardless, saying “just buy a Sequoia” isn’t really that simple

After the “big v6” I was like nah… I’ll keep my gx460 with a bulletproof 4.6 v8 a few years longer. Specially for towing. Too bad everyone’s phasing out good ole v8’s It would be nice atleast if this grand highlander came with a body on frame design but toyota really screwed up there too
